Singapore: Stay away from non-legal sources for now

Recently, there's been a sting operation against Hotel Girls and their operations. They found a namelist of punters and are questioning them. HOTEL GIRLS are ILLEGAL. There are legal alternatives in Singapore. Guys, Singapore is a very reactionary society; there is going to be sting operations against these operators so you are advised not to use the operations for at least a couple of months until things die down.

Singapore is so tiny as a country and you have it down to the "T" that they have a very reactionary society. They are small after all. And Singapore's law enforcement agencies are also indeed very efficient to boot, so one small breeze over the field will stir up the whole neighborhood!

Usually when something like his happens, especially when the people involved are supposed to be exemplary people (in this case school principal and civil servants) checks and operation will go on for a couple of months (if not 3) before becoming "normal" again. It's more like the need to satisfy the public need-to-know what action has been taken to correct the "wrong" and to regain trusts from the people over matters like this.

Just my thought...

Once again unfortunately it seems the pendulum has swung the other way. My own experiences have been to go in favour of geylang. The safety of a legalised zone, plus the fact that the golirls by my own account hve been pretty has meant that the hg scene has not really been that much fun for me. The last thing i would want os to be questioned by police in a society that punishes you for bringing gum in.

The problem is geylang is pretty... Obvious. You get seen walking through geylang, it's hard to make excuses for what you are up to. Or so I have heard.  I've never actually done more than walk through geylang... It just seemed too public for me. Of course,I guess if you get seen in wanchai the bust is much the same.

Anyone here have any experience in geylang? Might be a good time to offer tips...

Dude, if people spot you in Geylang, they are in Geylang. So whatever they are tryingto catch you at they are probably in the act themselves. Or you could say that you aretrying to catch them in the act...

As a tourist going into geylang, i've never really cared about the consequences of being sighted. Singapore just happens to be one of the paces where i dont know too many people, and those that do, frankly speaking, are mostly more worried about being seen near orchard towers. The idea of a legalised red light district is nteresting and were i to be sighted, i guess i would feign curiosity as we really dont have such in hk. I can appreciate for the local brow the point of being seen is a key concern and one which i often worry about in hk when going on walk ups in search for wgs. For that reason many of my preferred buildings have been in slightly off the beaten path places. Fully appreciatetthe point and can only say good luck mongering bros

I checked it out, and though you can register for free, you cannot watch the photos until you get enough point bla bla bla

Looks like a scam... And the few photos for preview are all dark, cannot see anything on it. I don't think it's serious.

But talking about Geylang, one day I was there I saw a car tagged with something like catchcheatingspouse.sg or something like that...

Marcopo, same. Went into the site and registered.bloody useless site if you ask me. Singapore is a weird place in many ways. You haves legalisex district and non law enforcement policing like you described and like the site i looked into. You have casinos and the ability for relatives to blacklist you so that you cannot enter. In many ways it has opened up, but in different ways it has become more oppressive. There is almost a distinct lack of trust amongst your friends and family that to me seems too cold for comfort.

A woman scorned!!

To be frank, after seeing that Website I am kinda surprised (though grateful) that there are not more of them....   I know enough women that "get their hate on" wickedly at the end of any relationship - and if the cause of its failure was because the bro got caught with a hooker - well, ALL men are pigs and must die!   Thank god there isn't one in HK!

Here is a quotation from that geylangchecker site.

QUOTE:
How is it often you will see a guy roaming around Geylang streets? They will say FOR FOOD like Frog Leg Porridge or Durians. But please hang on, the Geylang district is planned with a particular pattern that seems like the evils are all concentrated on one area, the Even Numbered Streets(Lorong 8, 12, 16 , 18). The normal food fare area is concentrated at the Odd Numbered Streets . Hence this is with GREAT probabiility when a GUY is seen appearing at the Even Numbered Street is naturally assess of a GREAT POTENTIAL whore seeker.

Thank god, HK has so many areas known for either hotel girls, walkups, and freelancers that it is just logistically too difficult for a women's group to keep tabs on. Hell the police is barely on top of it.

Plus each of those areas known for sex for sale is like a giant Poon Choi ( the famous NT mixed dish : various poon tangs of different ethnicity + legit cafes/bars/restaurants + civis occupied flats + love hotels + civi hotels + normal shops = a fulfilling meal ).

Wanchai is a great example of a giant Poon Choi. So easy to cover one's tracks. Coming out of the lift from Beverly Hotel...not really, just finished a meal at the Korean BBQ buffet. Picking up freelancers at Players...not really, just enjoy drinks with buds. Coming out of SKM at night after visiting walkup...not really, just finished meal at restaurant or had a foot massage. Were in the area middle of the day seeing someone...not really, just finished going to a trade show at the convention centre, visited tax office, or immigration. And so on.

HK is the best.

This one cracks me up. The fastest way (in the mongering context) for those in Singapore to develop a distinct lack of trust amongst friends and family is to be caught in Geylang!

What's the legal status of outcall/escort agencies? Is it dangerous to use those?

In Singapore, soliciting for sex is illegal. Outcall/escort are all done hush hush...very discreetly. Even though certain area are kind of designated "red-light" district, the government actually did not formally legalize the trade. They just try to keep it in specific area for control purposes.

So if you are looking for outcall/escort, it will be done quietly. Usually if you ask the bellboys/concierge in the hotels, they can provide you with the relevant info.

This I have always wondered about. I'm not the boldest guy i the world, and I have certianly never had the cajones to walk up to a bellboy and be all: So, I need some women brought up to my room, can you help me arrange that? I mean - it would be my liuck I'd run into the born again christian bellboy from hell, who would give me a lecture about god or something..

Anyone actually ever tried this? And if so - what was your... technique? How do you sound out a hotel staffer to see if he knows anything? Or is it even worth the time? With the internet, I've always had pretty good luck just managing it myself...
