#1 Post at 20-5-2012 19:30  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Haircuts and WGs 20 years ago, I worked in an economic consulting firm in the US.  This was before I had done much international travel.  One day a bunch of us were sitting around the coffee machine, drinking coffee and chatting.  All of a sudden, one of the company Directors (who did do a lot of international travel) said, "You want to know something interesting?  The price of a woman is roughly 10 times the price of a haircut the world over..." I thought this was interesting for several reasons... 1.  That anyone would have made this observation...   2.  That anyone would have said such a thing in an American business environment (mongering is politically incorrect in the US)... 3.  And because as I now travel the world, I think he's more or less correct... In singapore, a haircut ranges from 10 bucks to 50 bucks for a standard  off the top/sides haircut - and up to 2000 for those with the cash to spare. I'm sure that it's the same in HK. For your reference Price of a legal hooker 1 hour is between 50-150. - a freelancer is more expensive.

There are some places where this falls down though. UK and NL both can be pretty expensive in terms of things like haircuts/grooming (excluding the bargain basement) but the girls are not 10X the price (although this depends on the time). It's an interesting theory though, especially given that I've met many attractive hair dressers over the years

Good haircut in BJ, 150rmb, good class escort, 1500rmb Medium range haircut in BJ, 60 rmb, medium range escort, 600 bucks. In L.A, Medium range haircut, 12 - 15 bucks, medium range fs service, 120-150 bucks? I 'm sure these numbers can vary, but it's close enough for me.
