Underage WG sex scandal in Singapore

The law in Singapore was changed only in 2008 to make sex with a WG under 18 a crime,
although the age of consensual sex is still 16.

There doesn't seem to be an equivalent law on the books in HK, although I've heard people
say 18 is also the cutoff line for WGs here.

Does anyone know if there is a law that specifically makes sex with a WG under 18 illegal,
or does the umbrella law prohibiting sex, even if consensual, with a girl under 16 apply?

Well.... it seems to be a grey area between 16 and 21. certainly you can bone a 17 yr old if thats your fancy, but it rather doe appear that if you do, nd her service is illegal (pimped out, in a brothel, more that one girl...) you could be looking at 5 yrs.

(1)        A person who procures a girl under the age of 21 to have unlawful sexual intercourse in Hong Kong or elsewhere with a third person shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for 5 years.
(2)        (Repealed 43 of 2000 s. 3)

(b)        a girl or boy under the age of 21 to resort to or be on such premises or vessel for the purpose of committing buggery with a man; or
(c)        a boy under the age of 21 to resort to or be on such premises or vessel for the purpose of committing an act of gross indecency with a man,
shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for 14 years.

A person who commits buggery with an animal shall be guilty of the crime of bestiality and shall be liable on conviction on indictment to a fine of $50000 and to imprisonment for 10 years.

(interesting that you can legally stick your cock in animals cunny, but you'll get 10 years if you stick it up the wrong'un)

To come back to the article, do you have any other info on the case ? They mention that the advertising website has been closed down, do u know which one it is ? What I find very disturbing in that case, is how they published the names of the guys with the exact meeting time:

I remember last year, in Sammyboy's freelancer's section, there was an ad for an 18 yo girl starting in the business. Her big sister was a popular WG already, and a guy had done them both together... Anyway, while doing the dragnet across the various online escort agencies, the police found a girl that advertised herself as 18 on the website, but was actually 16.5 when she started. The OKT ratted out all the men who did her (I have no clue why he kept so much records), and they are all being charged with sex with a person under 18 (the legal age is 16, but for paid it's 18). Only problem of course is that the men didn't know she was underage as she's advertised as 18!

If this is true, may I say again, this is why you do not go young, even if they tell you they are 18. If they don't LOOK 20 or more, don't play. Just not worth it. And until they are 20 they don't know what the hell they are doing anyway.

I thought the age of consent was 17 in the USA.

Actually the age of consent varies on which state,some say 16,17 and 18.
Some states also have provisions if you were told she was older.
Not sure how that works but I think your lawyer would.

And it is legal grey areas like this that make things that much more dangerous. It's just not worth the risk. The things they do to sex offenders in the states are pretty drastic, and many states make no difference between a child rapist and adude that mistakenly had sex with a 17 year old willing prostitute. Hell, some people have had to register as sex offenders for public urination.

Well, yeah. The Singaporeans have more money. But when was the last time you sawa Singaporean WG? They are all from Thai, Vietnam, etc... And they aren't rich. Worseyet, they are hit with the crazy cost of living in Singapore coming from a much lower wage homeland. A lot of these girls are pretty poor.

That being said, checking ID in Singapore is a doable thing. Fewer foreign girls there will have fake ID than in a place like mainland china. But... Honestly, if you wanna be careful, stay away from the grey areas. If you're not SURE she is 20, you're taking a risk. That gives you a small margin of error to play with.

IN this particular case, the woman was a local and was charging between 500 to 1000 SGD. Fake ID in Singapore is very improbable and you know how laws are in Singapore... But really are guys supposed to card every WG to confirm age?

No. I dont usually card WGs. Because I only sleep with ones that are very obviously way overlegal age. If I have any question at all, I just don't go there. Keeps my mind at ease. Others may live different, but the peace of mind is worth it to me.

I can see confusing a 17 yo with a 19 yo - especially with Asian women. Which is why I don't touch anything that looks 19. But once they hit 20 or so... You know.
