Just tell her your counterparts wanted to go gambling. So long as there's no paper trail to your punting.... Macao's a city... Mongering isn't the only reason to go there.

Adding on to what the above bro said, maybe you can pretend to start getting interested in playing poker. Play some Zynga or Facebook poker. And then you can explain away your Macau trips by saying that you're in Macau to play poker.

Another alternative if you're worried is to destroy your passport once you get back Stateside. Then just get a new one. The peace of mind is probably worth the fee.

Or try to find some business to do in Macau so you always have a reason to go there.

I actually found some business to do it Pattaya. It took my years to figure it out, but I found some business to do there. That business may not be profitable, but now my company pays me to go there for business trips.

Your probably have 3 options:
- gambling excuse
- find a biz reason
- create a sight-seeing excuse

Since the first 2 have been discussed, I'll add to the third. I believe if you look in the Macau info sticky, there are some good excuses on how to do this. I think there might even be some photos or photo ideas. Get a ticket stub from the Macau tower, snap some shots at the square with the wavy tile and the facade of the old church. Bingo! You decided to spend a day in Macau on the advice of a biz associate.

Dang bro you are living under a nightmare.  If my S.O. even thought of touching my passport her ass would be out on the street.  Do you have an American wife?  LOL  We were just talking about this under the thread caught by wife or girlfriend.  What is your wife's reason for looking at YOUR passport?  It is none of her damn business.

Buy her a nice present from Macau and tell her you went there solely to purchase it. If it's nice enough she may be willing to believe it

This a long shot which may no longer work, but I have seen it used convincingly by a friend. Tell your wife you're going to china. So you need a china stamp. Ho in via zhuhai. Get into Macau via gong bei.

My friend regularly goes to zhuhai to play golf. He argued that they couldn't get tickets for the ferry back to Ho direct as such ha to get back via Macau which has ferries galore. Wife believed him and he spun it into sympathy points that he didn't want to stayovernight in zhuhai and that the car ride and immigration between zhuhai and Macau was a nightmare! But he just wanted to come home....

I am sure hunter is joking, but just to be sure DO NOT RIP OUT PAGES OF. YOUR PASSPORT EVER. That's a great way to have a fuck of a hard time in immigration. That's why they are numbered.  So assholes in immigration can check.

Just a pointer on this; a passport is not your property, it belongs to the country that issues is (bloody cheek charging for them I think). If you damage it yourself, you can in some countries also invalidate your visa for that country; for most visas you need to have a vlid passport and a damaged one is not valid!

Getting a replacement when you've damaged it yourself can be a nightmare as well

Finally, immigration at countries you have been before will often have a quick peak at the previous stamps. If your passport says you've been there before and the page is missing, they will start to wonder why all the while you are locked up in a room.

Here's an idea, wait until she is away, goto Macau a lot and get it out of your system. Then throw your passport in the bin, report to the police lost and go get a new one.

If you have the right background, you can also have dual citizenship with another country and get a 2nd passport for "other" trips.

LOL i agree with Uncledads suggestion

Just say you went gambling won and got her a nice gift from the money you won.

Hmmm who said mongering was cheap

by the way DONOT tamper with your passport in anyway. your just asking for too much trouble.

Getting a replacement is only a one time deal, you cannot do that all the time without the US gov getting on your case

best case scenario get a HKID permanent status then you donot need a passport to enter Macau lol.

i've passed thru via gongbei before, and MFM immigration will still stamp your passport.

i gotta ask?  what kind of relationship are you in to have a wife who checks your passport.  That smells like there is more than just looking at passports.  Does she do dna test on your clothes too when you come home?

Xiaodido agreed they stamp your passport. What I'm trying to say was that the excuse for my mate was one his wife validly accepted and understood why there was a stamp.
