Chinese terms

Hey guys, was searching on the forum for Chinese translations and stuff but nothing on BM. How would you say BM in Cantonese and mandarin? Would like to know both. Thanks!

BM - "dup gwut"

BM (Body Massage) in Canto is "DUP GWUT" which literally means 'hammering/pounding the bone'

as there is no chinese character for the slang term "dup"  HKer's will just type "dup".

As for the Mandarin 按摩 "an4 mo2" is massage, but have no clue if it is the equivalent of BM.

Hope this helps.

Closest to "dup gwut" in Mandarin would be 敲背, which literally means "knock back" (massaging someone's back in a knocking motion, generally with fists).

or 按摩 ....which generally is the kneading kind of massage since  按 literally means "press".

Thanks UncleDad for the Chinese lesson.  I can't read any Chinese characters, but can read pinyin and understand Mandarin.  "Qiao1 Be4i"  Thank god for the web and pinyin translators but it's such a crutch.  prevented me from learning characters.

Yes. The way to say it as I cannot read Chinese and would like to learn how to ask a wg for that service.

What you could do is write or print out the Chinese words on a piece of paper or in the notes on your smart phone and just show the WG.
