If you are talking about restaurants, cabs and hotels in HK?Macau NOTHING.  There usually a service charge already on the bills.  The average locals usually don't tip.

For working girls, it's up to you but don't over do it. If you really over do it, it will spool them and she will expect it from the next guy. If the next guy doesn't tip as much, she will start complaining.

Are you referring to tipping the wg's?  Or tips in general.

If tips in general, feel free to google that.  You can also use the " search " function on the top right corner of the page if you want some info regards to tipping the wg's.

Welcome to 141.

sirtiger: either you are wrong or I am just cheap.  I usually just round up to the next 10 or 20 or 50 bucks max just because I don't like change.  Way I feel about it is if you're already gonna tag me with a mandatory 10% SC, you shouldn't expect tip.  I might make an exception to the rule if a really hot/cute waitress takes care of me or flashes me a smile that just makes me start thinking with the little head but other than that, maybe I'm just a cheapass.  I could care less which 6 star hotel or fine dining restaurant I'm in.  Never felt unwelcome even as a repeat customer to any of those places (HK and macau)  Hopefully they're not spitting in my food

And this you'll never know about, unless someone puts in an obvious loogie that you can spot

worked at a restaurant once when I was a teenage. A co-worker got mad at a customer, and put soap in his drink. The customer was yelling at my co-worker and was very demanding.  The customer made a scene.    Be nice before you get your food. Afterwards, you can complain.
