Surfing 141/Escort sites at work

It seems like 141 is really popular in HK. I can surf this site at my own company's work place, but i was at a client place this afternoon and to my horror they have sex141 blocked in their network!

Depends where you are Bro !!  I'm sure big companies have a porn filter on their servers.  I think now, the government have implented a porn filter after those 2 Health and Safety Hygiene guys got done for browsing on porn sites for 4 hours a day average !!

You should be fortunate, there are some companies that don't allow their staff to go onto the Internet if their job requirements do not require it!!!

vtunnel.com is your friend.  Do a search on proxies, there are many others out there as well.  That should do the trick, unless your work is also blocking out proxies.

What the proxies will do is to encrypt all the websites.  Now they will look funny to a web admin, if he/she is really anal and pores through who is looking at what website.  They're basically looking for high bandwidth sites and/or making sure you're not surfing too much, so you should be ok there, unless you're on the site 8 hours a day.  The other thing you may want to do, which I do 98% of the time when I'm at work, is to turn off images.  Now you may say that, what the fuck, that defeats the purpose of looking at the site.  Well yes, you can't see pictures, but then again you're preventing images from coming down which also may arouse suspiciion, especially if an image is named bigtit.jpg or something like that.  Save the image browsing for when you are in the privacy of somewhere else.

Yeah, i used to use agentanony.com

Perhaps my job requires me to use consistently use the net through long late overtime hours so the IT dept don't really track what we use the net for. I'm so surprised to find out that i can surf sites that was blocked back in the company's HQ in the HK subsidiary, i can even use MSN

But JeSun is right, safety first, especially when your job is at stake. I'm using a private VPN set up by a singaporean friend, so i thought thats quite safe for me to surf sex141 at work. Anyone got caught with surfing porn sites at work before?

Even with all the precautions, I think it's a HUGE risk to surf for porn/escort sites while at work - one not worth taking IMO.  And not sure about the rest of you guys, but the job economy isn't exactly hot for me right now...I sure wouldn't wanna jeopardize my job and income just to surf for sex - especially with the potential repercussions.

Just do it at home on your own computer.

It is a HUGE risk ... I track internet activity during the 90 day new employee probationary period.  Gives me a great insight on how they spend their time when I'm not in the office.  The biggest offenders don't surf porn ... it's Facebook and IM that are the time wasters.  I fired someone about 6 months ago for for that very reason.

To me its not worth the risk - if you've got the net at home much better to just wait. With the economy as it is, why risk losing your job and having a bad reference making it even harder to get another job? Surfing the net for non-business reasons seems to be a frequent reason for getting rid of someone when job cuts are needed.

Same for me.  No porn at work!  I only use sites that are required for my job and that is it.

from an employers perspective

as an Employer I am not paying someone to surf porn, FB, IM or any other activity that is not being productive toward my bottom line.

Last year i had a temp who as soon as she sat down at her work station, promptly installed MSN on the work computer and proceeded to spend the next hour chatting to her friends.

When she went out for lunch I UNINSTALLED MSN from the computer... thinking she would get the message.

Two days later I come in to find her MSN'ing away. I asked her what she was doing and she said: "talking to my friends about party tonight"...

So I politely informed her that she was "Fired"... she cried and then left!

"GOOD HELP IS HARD TO FIND"

--------------------------------------------
I on the other hand can spend as much time as i like surfing 141, AFF, FB or any thing else i so chose, cause i am the BOSS! LOL!

Don't you mean as an employer? You're the one who is employing staff to work for you???

I think you have been surfing too much to get this point mixed up
