#2 Post at 3-11-2009 13:09  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L From what I've seen and heard from the members of this site, the problem is not that the pictures are fake but rather the pictures are heavily photoshopped. Tineye is a wonderful tool that I use for local wgs in Toronto but I'm not sure it would work quite as well for the HK WG.

#3 Post at 3-11-2009 13:19  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #2 R_from_Toronto's post Different issue.   On this site the pics are mostly genuine, except that sometimes the girl is subbed at the last minute.  Fake pics are not a big issue for the SPs - makeup and PS is not a tineye issue.   On this site it's more a matter of which Bro to believe in the reporting.  The reports are so widely read that (for a variety of inappropriate reasons) some people try to post fake ones.   Hear Ye!  The Mayor has spoken!

True image matching.   I can even spot PS'd variations, cropped versions, and quite severe editting.  Great for copyright fraud. Hear Ye!  The Mayor has spoken!

Somewhere on Tineye it says it takes the digital fingerprint of the picture and matches it to the other fingerprints in it's archive.

TinEye can even find a partial fingerprint match.     TinEye does not typically find similar images (i.e. a different image with the same subject matter); it finds exact matches including those that have been cropped, edited or resized.
