Hey guys.....

I am looking to buy a new phone....and I am hoping to hear some suggestions.

Price isn't really an issue...however I am not willing to spend $10K obviously otherwise I would buy the Nokia 8800 Carbon, which is a phone I really like...

I am looking at something around or under $5K(HKD), the only type of phone I don't want is a touch screen.

I am currently considering the Sony Ericsson C905, just came out, with the 8MP Camera....please share your thoughts!

I bought an N95 8GB exactly 1 year ago.
now N96 and N85 are both out, just had a look at 8800
for camera wise of the WG  8800 isn't so good
for N95 with a flast it is very good, there's also a review on the following site:

Sony Ericsson, haven't used it for at least 5 years since T630, C905 is the james bond phone, i mean if it goes with a flash then it should be fine.  
not that they are bad, in fact i find it very good. the user interface is very flexible, such as alarm ring tones, weekly alarms, (arguably you can use your scheduler on Nokia phones to achieve that), list of blocked users, etc.

but the choice of phones these days are just amazing, and i tend to change brand everytime i have a new phone, so maybe i will go back to Sony in a few years time!

i mean my concern on phone is, can it serve the net? does it have chinese input? is it user friendly? good camera? good flash? can i have softwares installed on it?

do sony have symbian phones?
my N95 is a S60 phone so it is VERY flexible, so much you can do with it.
i even listen to my podcast on it. and it updates the RSS feeds.
these might be the functions you should consider.  

5K should let you go a long way.  however, the N96 is a bit pricey around HKD6K

Talking bout phone I also want to buy a new one.....mobile no. rotation for extra punting purposes.....but I am only willing to spill $500. ....... I realise that I only found one that fit the price....

of if you do not have a contract now you can certainly go to any mobile phone shops, sign a contract with your exiting phone number and choose a free phone! following phones are all free!

or you can just go to SSP, and get a cheap second hand phone and get a new number from 7-11 every time you find a new girl!

where else beside SSP?...this place is too near to MK, I will end up spending the $500 in the brothel instead of going to the shop directly.

PCCW - if you buy a pre paid sim card they sell you a decent Samsung phone for $299 !

I also like the N96, and I think feature wise it crushes the C905...but I just don't all those features..I'm kinda old school in that sense...I only use my phone to call people, and take picture since it has the option...

However I do want WiFi, because that way I can surf this site when I'm out hunting lol.....

I have a $100 USD phone that can take pictures.  I only use it for calling and receiving calls.  I think it can take pictures, videos and text but I never use it.  I do however have an internet card on my laptop that allows me to get online anywhere

then i guess Heman's suggestion is pretty good.
the Iphone rival by samsung.
since every thing if from the big Microsoft, i think it is more compatible than Iphone in terms of software.

- 8mp cam
- MP3 superb
- flip and super stylish
- 4GB max
- wifi
- one concern - not sure bout durabiity, tend to have shorter shelf life

Nokia N85
- my favourite mobile brand
- super cool screen... OL screen (drawback- short battery life span - less than 1 1/2 day)
- MP3 /nusic output not as good as Sony ericsson
- 5mp cam.


Almost took out my cash and buy SonyE....but hold on.....I iniatially want to buy a phone cost no more than $500. Now this phone cost 4.5K (+ / -)

Yep twice the $398 phone (nokia)...wow super cool... I believe my grandma is using this model .....I think I spend bit more to get at least a 5MP cam mobile.

and now you also have the Sony Xperia to choose from haha.

SE 905 is nice......

But i think anything between 3-5M in camera phones is enough........PS can do the rest or any other photo software.

Also do you use ALL the features the phone has to offer......i didnt....?

SE `K` series......800i+....anything above that is ok and not even bothered if 2nd hand....not going to use for life...

get a Nokia 6220 classic.
considered quite slim and light for a 5mp.
sure it's ugly and plain, but its camera is fantastic for all the after-fuck snapshots.

This is a 5MP Camera Phone, the camera is very good, a few co workers of mine have this phone and they love it....I originally wanted to buy this phone, but the one think I don't like about it are the buttons...they feel very plasticy, and you need to apply quite a bit of pressure to to push the buttons...

I went to Broadway today to check out the phones, and its on sale now...the Sales guy was so desperate to make a sale, there were only a few people in the entire store...

The Sales person offered me the C902 for $2500....go to Broadway and talk em down!

However they won't give you any discount on the C905, because its too new...

Kennichi - I want to spend $10K, yes, but obviously I won't!...well I got invited to a Poker game Saturday night so if it goes well who knows...I might....

But then again for $5K I could fuck 10 WGs!
