Have you guys thought out thoroughly about the implications of "doing Freebies?" especially in places like CP? IMHO, doing so is probably not really cricket/is probably taking too much advantage of these gals/its too much like shooting fish in a barrel.

It's pretty common knowledge that CP - and many other small enclaves in China - are there only because mongering is the principal activity i.e both the gals as well as the guys KNOW what they are there for!

And that being so, the gals go there knowing full well that, no matter what method or profession they chose, they're gonna end up spreading their legs to fulfil their ONLY desire - which is to earn $$$ to make a fresh start, to figure out an emergency, whatever.

Here we guys come along, with our higher education, our sophistication, our ways of the world AND wafting scent of $$$ as we make your presence unmistakable. Our "quarry" now is like a doe staring into headlights - and what does the unthinking (perhaps uncaring) monger do - he runs straight into her!!

These SYT's and their farm gal mentality/their lack of education - are they any match for us, are they able to put up any defenses - or are they like sheep to slaughter? Think about it, please.

I write this only as a reminder that most of us guys are in so much of a better place than these gals that it's not really warranted to......

Yes, I understand the hunt is probably 90% of the enjoyment - especially for those who've become too jaded from doing gals just as if they're ordering a Happy Meal at McD; and that is why I also do supposed non-WG's, BUT, I ALWAYS pay them in one form or another at the end

Those that a lot of guys would consider to be NOT in the trade? Those who some guys may come back and tell me off on - that these are decent gals - how dare I accuse them of also being in "on the game." (Especially if they're already in a relationship with such a gal. LOL!!)

Or to remind me that "all's fair in Love and War" - Yes, but is it? LOVE is a an unselfish emotion - but what we're doing has got nothing remotely akin to unselfishness. We're only after SEX - of course except for some of the more clueless ones amongst us who's actually seeking for Love..... IN CP!!! LOL!

Well, yes I perhaps am generalizing a bit too much - but let me give you my analysis.

The first group of gals are those who've taken up jobs where they're in close proximity to guys - and yet, well protected/within their rights to refuse anybody; these include veggie footsie gals, Golf caddies - (even, and especially the caddie masters), KTV DJ's, Mommies, the beer promoters, ear cleaners, etc - and these are gals that are after the bigger prey. They go on their job, patiently waiting for JUST the right guy to come along .... spot one, and that's when they spring into action. ** Warning** These are the clingers, the impossible to get rid of for the unwary.

The second group of gals are the ambivalent ones - those that originally thought that they were there only to do their job - but then see all these gals going in and out, looking as if they're having such a good time AND sometimes making more in a day than they could be, slaving away for a whole month. These includes the hotel receptionists, the restaurant waitresses (even McD, KFC etc), the chamber maids (Omigawd!! Someone here would actually do a CP chamber maid??!!), the gal working at the dress shop (watching all these gals with their B/F of the day on a spending spree), the telephone shop gals etc etc. and if they ever do decide to go with you - they're more likely than not, doing it to try to earn some $$$

The third group would be the totally unaware/those who really has no intentions at all to have any paid sex. These are those working somewhere part time as they've already got their "sponsors' taking care of them and working just to show their sponsor that they're NOT in the game anymore, and also those truly innocent gals who're thrilled at being able to earn RMB 1,000/month!

OK, I think I've covered most of the gals in CP - and you tell me - no, better, tell yourself - would it really be fair for you to go after them, screw them and then leave 'em WITHOUT at least leaving a few Red Maos or some other equivalent gifts/rewards?? (well, perhaps the Ernai's - but hell they come with a totally new set of problems/quandaries!!)

Remember - you're the sophisticated world traveler, with higher education AND net worth! And That you really are NOT in any position to give them long lasting love and loving as you're only visiting, and either married, already in a relationship or KNOW that affairs with gals of questionable morality in a town renown for paid sex to be NOT a good idea.

Apologies if I hit upon any raw nerves - and please don't start blasting away at me - as indeed these are only IMHO; and as adults, I suggest that we all can agree to disagree without any rancour/ill feelings (seeing as I've managed of late to just get negative karmas instead of the -karma givers being ABLE to rationally and intelligently debate his own point of view!!  Power.... How easily it gets to people!!)

Is this not what some of you should be thinking of instead - that it's NOT actually the Freebie part, but the GFE feeling one gets if they think it's a freebie instead of a paybie?

He also cautioned me though, that things can get out of hand - and that it's not a good idea to get into all the depressing personal stuff and just to stick to the fun stuff like how pretty they are, how they keep their beauty, what they LIKE doing etc.

On this though, I dn't really agree 100% and suggest that all "the depressing personal stuff"comes with the territory and to really be able to experience a "sort of" GFE, one does need to delve into these uncharted - and probably dangerous - waters.

Howzabout this? Allow me to suggest that you set your own parameters - like I guess  my above freind is already doing with keeping these personal stuff to only the fun parts - but that doing so, you would only be scratching the GFE surface.

Not a good idea to get into it too deep either - and that is why I suggest you knowing your own parameters and to make sure you do not allow yourself/remind yourself periodically to not ever be sucked into a downwards spiral unawares.

And at the end of the evening/your holiday here - come up with Red Maos!!

Good stuff. Unpopular, but very much worth saying and thinking about. This kind of "freebie" is disgusting from any moral perspective. Reminds me of one of the Vietnam threads, where someone recommended getting sex by "making a lot of promises" to girls met around Vietnam.

Yes I seem to recal some guy who was boasting about this "feat" on another thread too.  Except he was suppossedly doing it in Thailand, and then went to the China boards to outline what he was gonna do here. Actually going thru a lot of things, subterfuge etc, just to get pussy - which as anybody could have told him, he could get - honestly - for RMB 150 just about anywhere in China, and even as low as RMB 30 at some of the local joints. Incredible!!

I don't/didn't believe that the guy is for real though - probably just some guy who had too much time on his hands and too much imagination - trying to yank some people's chain

If a civilian girl has got street smarts, she CAN have the ability to see thru your sweet talk, or whatever you throw her way.

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with education level, or class, or $$$. If she accepts $$$ then she is a WG plain and simple. If she accepts gifts, then i guess its a bit of a gray area.

Thanks - perhaps you can also look into my previous problems with posting long reports in one go.

As an example, my reply to Froddo in the Ranting thread - I posted it, looks all ok, press submit - and nothing appears on the main body of the post - just the title.

I go back to edit - and saw the whole thing on it, so I press submit again - and again - nuthin' appears in the main body.

Go back to edit, even go to the Preview - and of course it shows up whole again then.  I then even pressed the check length button and it showed within the 30 -30K(??) range - but when I again  pressed submit - the same thing happened.  Blanko.

And it wasn't until I split in into 2 parts that the report appeared OK.

Any suggestions?

Maybe tell me NOT to write such drivel filled lengthy reports??? LOL!!

Naive? Farm girl mentality?  Rural culture is where girls get hit on the most.  Try growing up on a farm, you'll see.  You also identify your own hierarchy of girls in the various trades and how they self select their job in order to defend against mongers (foot massage instead of full massage, caddy, etc.).
