A tool to remove browser history/cookie

A little tech talk, but tech that I think all bros should know.

I learned something new today, flash based cookies.  If you use the latest Firefox browser, you can set "rivate Browsing" on, aka "porn mode". This will remove all browser history and cookies so that the next person who use your computer can't tell what sites you've been on.

BUT, it does not remove cookies left behind by flash plug in. It can stay forever .
I immediately install Firefox add on that can help with this.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6623
Boy, I saw a bunch of flash based cookies that give too much digital trail behind.

I always run a register, privacy data, cookies and cache cleaner daily to clean out all the adware/spyware and whatever history I have from the browser. After I ran it, there are no more history, cookies left on my system.

I have CCleaner, even though I don't run it daily. I don't know if it clears flash based cookie.

I've also got CCleaner, but don't think it clears flash-based cookies:

But I don't really care - I don't live with anyone snooping through my internet browsing history.

I don't have others who snoop through my stuff. There are web sites who are snooping through your stuff. :-)
Well, I am on the paranoid side...
I don't like being monitored, security risk are among other reasons. We are so dependent on computers in the digital world these days.

Pauley, when you were a kid, think whether you want your parents to know you had been looking at playboy magazines. They found your collections under your bed.

This is the digital equivalent, how to remove your traces.  In short
1. Use Firefox browser
2. Go to Tools - Private Browsing. Enable it
3. Install the add on, BetterPrivacy (see my original post). Say yes when it asks whether you want to remove LSO (aka flash based cookies).

That's it. You don't have to know how it actually works.

so Pauley - this is important if you have a kid or a wife that works on the same computer as you.   You don't want them accidentally or intentionally going into some temp folder and finding out about all the pics or other traces of any place you've browsed.  Especially if you're coming onto this site and looking at all the HK reports and pics.  Plus, with all the dam spyware and adware out there, it helps to clean them out.

You could just enable privacy mode in Internet Explorer if you happen to be using it.

in fact I got busted tonight by the SO.  Although it was something stupd on my part.  I had a semi-naked picture of Gillian Chung (from Twins fame) that I used to respond to a thread in the HK reports form.  I had the whole Edison collection in a zip file and extracted out this one pic and put it in a folder, a too obvious folder I might add (My Pictures).  Well, whaddya know, she found the pic.  Luckily since she was a celebrity I told her that I got the pic from one of the gossip sites that she frequents.  More luckily, the pic didn't expose much other than a nipple.  Good thing I didn't try to extract a pic of her pussy getting eaten or her sucking on Edison's schlong.

Hod, that was a lucky escape.

I nearly had the same problem when I took the pix of Yumi at 8MK on my mobile. Only way I could get em onto my laptop was sending them as email attachments from phone. Uploaded and sent report all OK... untill Her Indoors wanted to go into email account!! I had lucky escape there - but will get this firewall thing nailed.

Travelling

I always worry about my laptop when I go through customs - you hear some crazy stories about overzealous officials!! Not that there is anything that would really cause problems, but I just don't want the hassle.

So every morning before I fly my laptop gets a clean up.
