Dear Bro's.

Hoping you can clarify a question. Planning a 3 day trip to Macau with a mate, staying at the Lisboa in early to mid April. Intend a full report with my technical writing skills to ensure attention to detail.
Firstly though, my thanks to everyone on the board for their constructive and helpful posts, I must say you are a passionate lot in the art of mongering! Have read in wide eyed wonder at the marvelous descriptions written.
This has taken a while to go through, but am a little confused about package deals.

Is it possible to purchase a sauna package deal directly from HKIA, and not enter through to HK island, going to central, Where I believe you can purchase a ferry/package deal for a number of Sauna's?

We are hoping to land at HKIA and proceed directly to the Ferry terminal and purchase a package there? If this is possible, will a ferry ticket via return be allowed for 3 days later? (Not in a 24 hours period)
As we are going to then spend a number of days in HK itself after the 3 days in Macao.
Is it truly worth the effort to go to HK island to purchase the packages?

Top of the list for our visit is :

Golden Sauna, Noble Sauna, 18 Sauna, and East Spa - mingling in between with MP3/MP4 and other bars.

I dont think your Macau trip will be complete without checking out the gorgeous ladies at Darling 1 which is located in the Jai Alai Bldg just across the Oceanus Casino near the Macau Ferry Terminal.

The ferry packages don't seem to be available at HKIA. However, in the context of a week's mongering (you say 3 days in Macau, then a few more days in HK), the cost savings will likely not be enough to make a meaningful difference.

One thing to bear in mind though, is that ferry services from HKIA do not run 24 hours per day, whereas those from the ferry terminal on Hong Kong Island do run 24 hours per day. I think the last ferry from HKIA is something like 22:30. So, your arrival time will have some bearing on your plans.

For what it's worth, catching a ferry at HKIA is remarkably easy. Get off your plane, follow the signs to the ferry terminal (do not go through immigration), buy ticket, get on. The ride is shorter from HKIA than from HK or Kowloon, which is another slight benefit.

Thanks Gherk, really do appreciate your input. I believe we arrive around 5.00pm on a Wednesday - so no hassles in going straight through to the terminal, getting setup ready for some indulgence later that evening. One thing though, should I book well in advance to use the ferry, or can I lob into HKIA, and book from there? Just worrying about baggage transfers.

D1 will also have moved by the time you get there I assume from reading the other threads here. It should be over on the west side now near Ponte 16(?)

Do note that if you buy a coupon at Shun tak, you get the ferry ticket for free. And you can ask to get the ferry ticket refunded if you want (like for instance if you buy more than one coupon). So basically you will save money even if you have to pay for the train ride to Central.

I never have baggage with me (except carry on), so I've always just walked on to the next available ferry. I have never booked one in advance. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

wozza leave friday or sat free for golden, you wont want to miss the big showtime. Get in before 10pm, big showtime around 11ish last time i went.

Depending on where you are coming from, or where your nearest transfer is, you might consider flying into Macau directly instead on HKIA.  Maybe it is too late for this...

If you read the turbojet link carefully, it will answer all of your questions regarding the ferry service from HKIA.

1) Yes, you can buy the tickets in advance for the ferry ride, although not necessary.

2) If you have luggage, you do not need to go through immigration or claim your bags.  Just go ahead to the ferry transfer in terminal 1 on 5F at HKIA and buy your ticket/check-in, give them your luggage tags and they will fetch and transfer your bags onto the ferry for you.  However, with luggages, you MUST arrive at the ferry counter no later than an hour prior to departure so they have enough time to fetch your bags.

3) Depending on where you are coming from/airline.  The airline staff at your originating city might be able to tag your bags directly through to the Macau Pier.  I did this with Cathay Pacific flying from Taipei, cannot confirm about other airlines or cities.

4) You cannot buy packages at HKIA.  If you've never been to Macau, I do not recommend buying the packages at shun tak because it limits on what you want to do once you get to Macau.  It's really not that much money you are saving anyways, so just decide on where you want to visit on your own terms.

I would definitely recommend the Noble Sauna (Familia Nobre), which i feel is more relaxed and doesn hurry you into things... If there you must definitely try Number 783... Kelly a really hot viet girl with an amazing figure and great service !! Also do try out the DD2 Disco late in the night.. its in the AIA Building right opposite emperor hotel... Gets rocking after 3 am... If you into some really hot russians do try Divino right opposite the DD2... amazing talent !!!
