No region protection on PS3 games buddy! So just go out to MK or SSP to get your NHL fix. Me, I'm playing NBA 2K10 as we speak!

Lack of region protection is great, but I still have to wait for someone at Sony to put GTA Chinatown Wars onto the Playstation Store in Hong Kong before I can download it on my PSP Go.

Ya, I know there's no region protection for the PS3.. just a matter of getting my hands on a copy of NHL! I've walked the gaming malls in Mong Kok and Sham Shui Po but no stores have NHL. I saw a 2K7 second hand a while ago but didn't get it cause it's 3 years old!

Why not buy it online mate? Post can't cost that much.

The game could cost less as well if purchased online. Why not try looking on eBay?

I've tried buying games online (ebay and play asia). Play Asia screwed up my address and it took ages to get here and the seller on e-bay sent me a second hand copy when I paid for a new one. A bit disappointed but just a streak of bad luck I guess...

My problem with computer games has always been the clunkiness of the user-interface - interacting with a character in a virtual world by means of a mouse or joystick or keyboard is just so counter-intuitive, so different from the way we live in the real world. Computer games and virtual environments will only really be interesting when one is able to enter a 3D world and look around and see things thru one's own eyes, like in the great Neal Stephenson novel Snow Crash. Moving a character on a 2D screen by pushing a button is boring. Even with all the progress in graphics and graphics cards, as far as the user-interface is concerned, these games aren't much more advanced than Packman.

Anyone played Ghostbusters on Xbox or PS3...The last time i remember playing Ghostbusters was over 20 years ago on a Spectrum connected to a tape recorder..

I know what you mean. The Wii tried to fix that, but Graphically it's just not good enough.

Do a google search for ps3 motion controller, it looks like it could really make games accessible. Project Natal on the Xbox may be good too, but I've yet to see a demo of it that wasn't completely staged.

Ghostbusters was fantastic, it really felt like an extension of the movies (all the actors in the originals did the voice acting). I heard the graphics on the 360 were better than the PS3 but also conflicting reports that the 'toon' version of it on Wii was much more fun.

speaking of wii, has anyone tried the new wii fit plus game?  i enjoyed the wii fit, and was thinking about picking up the wii fit plus this weekend.

It's not a bad game persay but it does get kind of repetitive. You should pick it up ASAP @ Toys-R-Us they are having a huge sale. Spend 100 and you get 30 $ off until Thursday.

Yo, have you tried the video game centre in Wanchai? the selection there is pretty solid, i was even able to find the Bigs 2 there. Since I'm going to MK tonight, I'll ask my video game shop if they can get a copy of NHL 2k10. PM you if they have it.

It's full of kids, but I got 2nd hand GTA 4 for PS3 for only $100 odd dollars. If I knew I could get good games that cheap I would never have been banned on 360

that's by far my fav video game plaza in hk, not as populated as 188, but they have better selection (believe it or not)

O ya? Will check out this Ho King place when I get a chance. Don't venture to MK very often as it's so crowded but will have to give it a go.

On another subject but relating to games, I read somewhere AGES ago that you can play online multiplayers on different consoles? I.E. COD4 on the 360 VS gamers on the PS3? Myth or for real?

I had a modded 360 that got the red ring of death.  I had to get buy a new one and then it gets banned.  I wasn't as angry as Hitler as I knew that I shouldn't have modded it.

Still, I'm not going to inflate Microsoft's sales figures by buying yet another xbox.  I might be reading into this too much, but they ban a million members before Christmas, just when Walmart have discounts on new 360s.

I mean, they know exactly who mods their systems, and wait until fking Christmas to start banning people.

I'm starting to think that Microsoft don't care about making or losing money on the 360, as long as they push Sony out of the market.

So, I was sitting there with two xboxes at home, thinking about how I was about to buy ANOTHER 360, reading a report online about how Msoft are expecting "higher sales" this Christmas, and I thought - Fk it, I liked the PS2, lets try PS3.  I need Blu Ray anyway, and the Blu Ray player costs almost the same.

You know how when your girlfriend gives you nothing but grief, and then another girl is waiting with open arms... that's how it felt when Msoft gave it's users a big F U, and Sony said... "come here, join the family"

So far... it's not bad.  The online chat sucks a bit, but the graphics are almost the same, and, as I said before, Uncharted 2 rocks.

haha.. ya.. Microsoft are fking c*nts.. I'm just in the process of installing Win7 on my computers and having to buy or upgrade one disc PER computer just gets way too expensive.

The PS3 is great. I got both but I still do most of my gaming on the 360. The games are slightly cheaper than the PS3 ones. I haven't set up my PS3 to play online yet but do you need subscription fees like Xbox Live?
