I think if I could understand Cantonese / Mandarin, and that the WGs told me stories of their misfortune, I think that would turn me off the hobby completely.  Are we right in assuming that all these WGs turn to prostitution due to financial / social hardship?

Can you think of any other reason why a girl would choose to be a WG? When we monger, we just
have to put that out of our minds. That's why I say it's sometimes an advantage not to speak their

Not to be insensitive, but I honestly do believe that there are a good number who do not do it out of lack of options.
There are plenty of cashier jobs, factory jobs, janitor, housekeeping jobs, etc, to be found in normal society. But being a WG they can pull in a high-class salary with no education or skill. It is a really good deal for them considering their options.

But at the end of the day, they have chosen this path themselves.

IMHO, i think greed and ambition is the biggest factor here. Not to be racist, (and I am of chinese descent myself) but these chinese girls are real greedy. Its probably more the overcrowded and desperate society that creates this rushed "hoarding" mentality among everyone. They are willing to go to great lengths.

Yes, there may be some girls which must pay for her brother's schooling back home, her aunt's medical procedure back home, or whatever, but that is a minority. And much of the time it is just  a sob story which you really don't know if you should believe or not.

Certainly not all of WGs are in due to financial hardship, some are in for the money, but some people are not in the position to negotiate.
