I heard Escape is closed down. Can anyone confirm?

If it is closed, that should be easy to confirm.... If it will close, then that should be verified by the staff there.

Was there yesterday night, didnt seem to be closing down. If it does, its going to get crowded in NIII and NM... Will have a look tonight if I have time.

Whome is right they have been cracking down in Wanchai for the last few months.

I have the word from one of the DJ's there and it has closed as of today, still trying to confirm this and find out why it is closing.

Well dont think closing down would be linked to a shortage of wg as it was quite full yesterday for a Thursday. Could be for renovation or (and that would be bad news) because of increasing wages? There are doing a couple of large real estate projects not too far so maybe the owners have been trying to get some more money out of it...
Just hoping they wont close definitely, it was my favorite as it was but didnt have the feel of a wg bar...

I'm back in HK tomorrow. If this is true that's terrible news as while Escape is not my favourite bar by any means, I do go there quite regularly.

TD, Petay and wander leave HK and the place falls apart. Who knew they were single handedly keeping NII and Escape alive... now look at Wan Chai... it's heartbreaking. If anything happens to Hari's... that's it for me... I won't be able to take much more disappointment of this magnitude. Reminds me of when they closed down Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock... but worse!

Man, some iconic places!  I am surpirsed about Escape -- they kept it pretty clean in there compared to Neptunes or other places (Ie:  they will stop you from making out with a WG in there or getting overly frisky).  Damn, awesome bands too.  

With both NII and Escape shuttered for the same (essentially) legal issues, Traffik closed, and the Bridge closed a few years ago as well by the police, it seems to speak of a more determined crack-down on WanChai.  Hmmm, is it possible that HK has finally decided to wipe out this rather open mongering scene?

Perhaps they've finally decided they did not want to be a sex-destination.  Unlike some places (Angels City or Patpaya, etc.) HK does NOT need the income generated by the industry.  It is a pittance compared to it's banking and shipping industries.  Given how blatant and obvious WanChai was maybe someone at the top finaly said "Enough!".

Escape was ok for me. I was devastated however when they closed down Laguna.  I had so much luck at that bar. Still remember an indo girl I met on a Sunday afternoon. I was meeting Gary that night.  He was fresh from a session with gaile. Anyway, the indo girl came up to me and immediately started dfk'ing. Led me to the couch and started raping me. Then I felt my phone buzzing and it was Gary trying to find the joint. One hand on the phone and the other in her pussy. I said I needed to leave for a bit. She asked me for my number. I told her I would come back. But she still wanted it, so I gave. I went down looking for Gary and saw him on Lockhart. We came back up and she was getting on with some other guy. Was there yesterday, wasnt closed. Too many dicks on the dancefloor but still open. Went bar hoping with a friedn but found nothing to my liking. New Makati was where the action was yesterday night!

oh and bar 109 seemed to be raided yesterday around 1. All lights on inside and a policeman with a dog outside (but saw only one policeman in uniform). Not sure how the bar is on weekdays (ie is it a normal bar or the same crazy place as Sundays?).

I was there on Thursday night, place was packed with WG between 11:30ish to 2pm (when we ended up leaving), no sign of things quietening down at all.

Might go there tonight to see if it has indeed closed down.
