#1 Post at 9-12-2013 13:06  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reminder on Punting Phone In view of the not-so-recent raid and arrests of 'senior members' of chinese forum (most likely agents so there is a reason for the arrests), I'd like to remind fellow punters to use a pre-paid sim card to  do your punts. What agents do on their end with the caller ID you'd never know. There was this case of an underage WG in Singapore where the agent kept a log of all the customers IN DETAIL! Tel numbers, hotel, time of punt, etc. The police netted all the punters including foreigners. At least in HK the pre-pard sim cards do not require registration or a copy of your ID so it is essentially anonymous. Just for those who didn't read about my experience with a con job in Mong kok and eventually some verbal threats, the pre-paid sim card saved the day. So please save yourself the anguish and use a punter phone for all agents, WG contacts. I'm not sure what is the best such service for HK though. But it beats carrying a 2nd phone all the time. Gherk

The problem I'm having is I think some places gave my number out after I called in advance. You get a discount when calling in advance for some places ( SN ) in China.  A few days later, I will get phone calls and text messages.  The phone calls sometimes would just ring only one to two times.
