YES. This can be done in Photoshop. Worth noting however is that the quality of the original photo, the nature of the detail in the background behind where the words are removed and the skill of the operator will determine the quality of the result.

Depends from a JPEG no as it is already compressed and flattened if it came out of your camera as a RAW file then it will be a separate layer and can be removed easily.

If it is a JPEG or gif it means a photoshop mission, attached is a SQ photoshop which took me about 20 minutes to do, I've water marked it with some big black strips though!

EDIT a photoshop mission depends on the actual image itself tbh in that if you have a shitty photo in the first place at a shitty resolution it will be hard, but if you have a massive image where tiny details don't matter then it is easier. As said the SQ photo was just removing the 141 water mark (it was just a photo that I had handy).

You can still do it on a Jpeg Bro. it just involves reproducing the background to fill in the gaps. Essentially what you are doing is "covering" the words with a duplication of the background rather than deleting the words from the top layer. Then it really comes down to the resolution of the original pic, the type of background you are trying to cover and the skill of the operator.

You are reading me wrong. There is removal and there is editing.

Removal is removing a layer so that the actual image is underneath it is a simple operation with RAW files.

What you are talking about is editing the photo like I have done with the SQ picture, I duplicated bits of her belly and arm to cover up the SEX141 watermark however this was not possible for her bra which meant I had to spend a few minutes airbrushing in the detail and burning it to the right colours.

Seems we are the same page now Bro. So to answer Bro Twice's question, yes it can be done and the type of original pic determines the best way to do it.

Bro Twice, I assume your question is simply "can a pic be modified to remove all evidence that text or a date stamp existed?" If so then yes, no problem.

in that case, worth mentioning that not only can text or a date and time be removed, a different more "contemporary" date and time could easily be added to make it look like I took the pic "today".

You can usually check the real dates of photos via the hidden datatags, iphones for example embedd the GPS coordinates of where the picture was taken.

Flickr and photobucket use those things to tag photos with what camera it was taken with and the date unless you flush it.

Simply put, yes to all the questions.  The Stamp/Cloning tool makes it rather easy if the image is flattened.  The Vista/7 snip tool makes it very easy to get an image off a website and save it as a jpeg.  Using PS, opening the file and the stamp/clone tool almost anyone can remove and edit any photo. The quality of 'finished' photo depends on the background in the photo and the skill.   Please PM if you want more detailed information on this.
