This is the shit we deal with living in the USA that others simply don't understand and choose not to understand.
Prejudice and discrimination is all over, not just the U.S. I certainly don't mean to dismiss anyone's particular experience with this, but I think it's important to realize the universal human condition of this and to acknowledge that it won't change as long as we all perpetuate it. I've experienced it as well, and to the tune of a couple of million bucks
but that doesn't make me write-off an entire race or an entire country.
If anything, the U.S., even with its failings, is the most successfully diversified country in the world.
