Secure phone question

I have wechat and looking at another similar app for mongering in HK and wondered if anyone knew of a way to keep these apps and data locked behind a p[assword within android phone.
I dont want a work colleague or worse to use my phone for some reason and see something by mistake .
So I guessed if I could have an app that needed a password to open it where the other apps were kept that I could stop panicking when someone  asks to use my phone...
Any ideas? I had a look in playstore and couldnt identify anything..

360 Security, which is a general anti-virus app, has a feature called App Vault.  You can use it to password lock any app.  But the icon is still there.  I use it for my photo viewer.

I second this advice. 360 works well for me.

It would be good to have something that hides the icon...

Cheers

When you go to your apps drawer, scroll to the very top and there should be three little dots in the top right for the "menu", if it doesn't show try pulling down to show it. It will give you the options for "Hide Apps", "Manage Apps" and "Grid Size". Select "Hide Apps" and then tick the apps you do not want to show. Reverse the process to show your app again when you want to use it.

I hope this helps.

Life is simple - A separate punting phone.

jetsetting2much   1-7-2014 06:03  Acceptance  +3   Agreed. I question the wisdom of using one's regular phone for any punting-related activities.

I agree with chantik's comment, get a separate phone. While you are doing that get a separate set of logins that you use on that phone, use a separate email for punting as well.  If you want security - keep everything separate, I have learnt this through painful experience my friend.

Apps tend to replicate and synchronise across devices - sometimes it it isn't obvious- & when you use your phone it will replicate some things onto other devices, even if you delete conversations they don't always delete on every device AND they are easily recoverable. You will want to close all that off if you want to keep your punting a private affair.

Of course now you need to hide your second phone !!
