If you want a central location then recommendation would be Rio as its not too expensive whilst close to the central of town. If you plan to punt, you could stay overnight and sleep at one of the saunas to kill two birds with one stone.

It's the most expensive hotel in Macau and they won't budge on the price. The regular villas in their new Encore wing are priced at HK$50,000 a night (there are 16 of them) and they are always full, comped for the high rollers.
