Double visa

Multiple (6 months)
HK$400

Multiple ...

Am I reading that link correctly? When I was last in HK, the prices for US visas was way higher than that. I don't see the US listed on "List of Countries on Reciprocal Basis of Visa Fees" section either...

No one ever checks but in China you'll never know. Recently there have been lots of roadblocks set up in the cities to spot for DUI. Should you ever get held up in one of these roadblocks or in a routine inspection in a SN/KTV you may be asked for your ID. If you don't have it on you the LE would demand that you go get it. If your passport shows only limited access to certain cities then you would fined a nominal amount of RMB500 but then it's really not worth the hassle of getting held up several hours in the first place.

It's because the US charges the same high fee for the Chinese to visit US.

If I'm not mistaken the fee is even higher than $1020 RMB for Chinese passport holders to come to the USA.

That shit is not funny, it fucking hurts paying that much every time I go to China.  If your passport is expiring within the year, you only get a single entry visa, no exceptions!  Sucks man!

My auntie works for immigration and border control at LW/LMC, certainly makes me appreciate not having to go through all of this red tape and annoyance.

The last time I got my visa in Los Angeles, the only option was the multiple entry one year visa.
