Will a Google phone work in HK with a local service provider?

I am thinking of buying a Google phone and putting in my CSL sim card. If I did that will it work in Hong Kong? Will there be problems with servicing it and so on?
Or is it better to buy one of the models of HTC smart phones and use it instead instead of getting a google phone?
Any ideas?

Google phone is fine as long it's GSM, not CDMA.

That is all subjective to the user.  Each has its pluses and minuses , heres a chart to help you.

btw a camera should be judged by its sample pictures.  In defense of the iphone, visit apple.com to look at them.

My 2C

I'm anti Apple ... love them as a prospective shareholder but not as a prospective customer ... allergic to closed systems ... especially if you have to break them (aka "unlock") to avoid having to pay for every new thing you want to do.

In that context I've been delighted recently with the range of smart phones available - Apple probably still holds top-spot in the art of "cool", but functionally speaking it's no longer a compromise to choose a competitor.

Nearly went for Android on my latest change, but on hearing comments that the next version of Android will be better (and the old version not upgradeable) I went for HTC HD2.

The HD2 is excellent.  They've learned from big mistakes they made 2 years ago with the Touch Pro (and its siblings), and the result is a very comfortable user experience.
Very smooth functionality in spite of the Windows OS, huge and bright screen, big battery, slim, it's suiting me very well.  Given all of that, it's nice to have that Windows Mobile is very compatible with Vista on the PC.

Pretty sure my next one will be Android though.

Hear Ye!  The Mayor has spoken!

When is the Android 2.2 scheduled for release, does anyone know? Will HTC service the Google phone in Hong Kong?
