Well I guess I'll be watching the world championships now. Chicago was the better team this series.
Vancouver just couldn't pull it off.

yep great game by the Hawks tonight.....I hope to get the chance to return to the cup but the sharks Thorton line has been scary lately.

Only one more Canadian team remaining, hopefully they can win against the pens.

this really stinks for the canucks.. the sedins were having a hart year and luongo looked like he was going to be clutch after the olympics.

terribly disappointing.

Habs are playing great and Halak is a monster in net.. I had him in my fantasy hockey pool but by the time Montreal started playing him it was to late.  Still want the Pens to beat them though.. go Crosby!

Just wow! What an upset by Montreal Canadiens, they just eliminated the two teams that were favorites to win the cup! Halak is already a candidate for the Conn Smythe trophy ... Philly is coming back as well, which in itself an amazing story, with Vancouver gone, I'm cheering for Halak.

I agree with you, Halak has been amazing.

I'm super stoked that a Canadian team is still alive. Hopefully they can make it to the cup final now.

one word - unbelievable.
eastern conference final will be played between 2 of the bottom three teams. if you had put your money on that ... you would be one rich punter now.
and in the western conference the top teams go through to the conference final easily

looking forward to the Hawks putting a number on the Sharks.  Since I live and work in the San Jose area, I will start wearing my Hawks jersey to work more often just to rile up the co-workers.

wow who would have thought niemi would be the STRENGTH of the hawks?  he stole the game today even after some really borderline calls sending the sharks on 3 PP in a row.  now the sharks lost home ice advantage... aie.

cdns/flyers should be good tho can't wait for that.

A bit too close for comfort.  Pleasantly surprised at Niemi.  He was standing on his head today.  San Jose stepped it up a notch today, they played as well as any team has played against the Blackhawks all year.  One could argue that Chicago stole one in SJ, but then again Chicago played really well as well.  That was some of the best end-to-end hockey I've seen in a long time, the pace was breathtaking.  If this pace keeps up though, it's to Chicago's advantage - no one has 4 lines better than Chicago and they have more depth than San Jose everywhere.

The habs looked so tired in game 1. They need to pull up thier pants and come out strong in game 2.

WTF - what was that? Habs beaten 6-0 by the flyers? Ovie hardly scored against them. Neither did Geno and Crosby and now they go down to the Flyers like this? Think I need to wake from this nightmare.
We'll see whether they can come back - just game one is lost...

man the habs are driving me mad. Cammie needs to pump a few in. Hopefully the change of scenery back in Canada will give them the much needed spark

turn out the lights for San Jose.  However, knowing Chicago, they'll take their foot off the pedal and lose one of the two home games.  Chicago is just a bit better everywhere than San Jose and Chicago's checking line is manhandling San Jose's top line.
