the series is over.  Hawks are the most talented team in the league.  Once they figured out that they're supposed to show up at the beginning of the game, and once they figured out how to play power hockey, I don't think the Canucks had much of an answer, especially after the first period in all of these games.  The goaltending is the main thing keeping the Hawks from being totally dominant, and Niemi was pretty spectacular in the first period yesterday.

Bro, the Hawks do have a very talented team but the Canucks ain't slouches either....This series will most likely come down to a game 7.

I think if you are going on talent alone the best team would have to be the Pittsburgh. Chicago is good but Pittsburgh is better on paper.

Pittsburgh has the most talented line in all of hockey with their big 3 of Sid the Kid, Staal and Malkin and a big name goalkeeper, but their depth is abysmal beyond that.  You hold the Big 3 in check like the Habs did tonight and Pittsburgh is going to have a hard time advancing.

Chicago can run 4 lines out there with no problem.  In fact they're so deep that Dustin Byfuglien sat out a while because there was no room for him.  So deep that they'll probably have to let go to free agency a couple of really good players.  If they somehow manage to keep the core intact and make Niemi into a top-notched goalkeeper, they'll match the production of the Edmonton Oilers back in the 80's.

Yes, Vancouver has a fine team, great speed and a world-class goalkeeper, but when Chicago wills its way to a win like they did in Game 3, it's almost going to be impossible to stop them.  The only thing keeping Chicago from being completely dominant right now is shaky goaltending (Niemi can be spectacular sometimes but too inconsistent) and a lack of urgency that Chicago has found itself in many times this year - where they play lackadascal and think that they can turn it on anytime.

The Hawks do have an amazing team, but question marks in net for sure.

Offensively they are explosive, but hey, only a 2-1 series, can't really justify that the canucks have no answer for them ... it's not like Canucks don't have firepower either, just some of their regular season contributors haven't showed up yet.

Chicago in driver seat, but still no over by a long shot, we'll see you guys in Game 7.

like I said, there isn't going to be a Game 7.  Chicago has completely flustered Vancouver.  Vancouver just took too many silly penalties and Chicago made them pay for it.  Luongo has looked very shaky the last 2 games.  This series isn't going to go back to Vancouver - it will end on Sunday.  But knowing the Hawks, they'll take their foot off the pedal in Game 5 and it'll wind up being a much closer game than anyone would like.

Good game by the Hawks tonight. They totally took advantage of the Canucks mistakes. I must admit Toews was on fire tonight.

Sad to say but it looks like the Canucks are done ....only one more Canadian team to Cheer for. GO HABS GO!!!

Agreed, Canucks are either the team I will root for or the next Canadian team. However... I as all the others believe the Nucks are out. I know a lot of my friend's have lost faith in the Canucks already, even some of the die hard fans.

so far - so good

my predctions are still alive - Sharks coast  to the western conference finals - The Pens are (just) one win away - that will be a though piece of wood to chop though - those Habs keep bouncing back.

Where is the love for the Bruins?  It has been a long time coming for Bruins fan's out there.  I think it was 1992, since the last time they have made it to the conference finals.  Hopefully they will take care of the Flyers tonight.

What a run so far, how crazy would it be if they can knock both the Caps and the Pens.

Unbeliveable.  The Habs win another game at the Bell Centre and game 7 back in Pittsburgh.  Maybe finally the hockey ghosts from the old Forum have now moved to the Bell Centre as its the 100th anniversary of the club.  How else can you explain the Habs shutting down Ovechkin and Semin of Capitals and Crosby and Malkin of Penguins.
