Hello brothers,

I kneel before you today regarding the rules and guidelines of leaving a tip/tipping a wg. I've done a search, with full text, regarding tip, tipping, and leaving a tip, and nothing has come up so I decided to make a Q&A about what the community generally does when it comes to this matter from everything from sauna, honey girls, walk ups, out calls, so on and so forth.

I read that people generally leave a 200 hkd tip but is that for every case? Or just saunas?

Thanks for the info, care to go into a little more detailed as to why saunas are more complicated? I know the initial price is usually for the establishment and room rental in some cases and after there is a tip for the girl for her services. And what do you mean exactly by not mandatory? Living in Canada, a lot of the time the service tip for a restaurant is not included and technically speaking I don't have to leave a tip either but it's usually 15% or more depends on type of restaurant and if the service was really good. For example, if I had poor service I leave a quarter, dime, nickel, and a penny if I even leave one to show the waitress she did a poor job. Sometimes I only get a $2 pop at the bar but if the bartender/waitress was tentative and still provided me good service I leave her $5 on a $2 bill.

In your mind, what type of sauna are you asking about ?

hmmm ... I know of some expat/foreigners that never tip or try to pretend they don't know anything about tipping ... for walk ups, walk up massage places but especially in saunas

Well I was just curious about tipping in general. Like I heard while in Thailand that the price up front is for the room only at a sauna/spa, btw what is the difference if there is one?, and that usually people would tip 200 for the girl after. I've never been to a spa, sauna, or brothel. Just been to incalls or walk ups/honey girls back in Canada. I wanted to find out more before going as to not be rude or overly generous. I've allotted 1500 hkd for 2 to 3 girls before I leave at the end of the month

I don't tip them at all. If they want some tip, they can meet me after they get off work

actually, you're not asking the right questions and that's why I asked you what type of sauna you're interested in going to

These are the different types of massage places in HK :

walk up single girl massage
foot massage shops that also provide body massage (real veggie)
foot massage shops that also provide body massage (with HE or more)
licensed saunas (pseudo veggie)
licensed saunas (with HE or more)

I would be looking at non veggie locations, be it foot massage or licenced saunas. Also what exactly is enclosed at a sauna? When I hear sauna I think dry or wet sauna where you sit and sweat in lol and when I hear spa I think place you get massage and stuff rubbed on your face to make it smoother/softer

Looking at going to a massage place with a friend and not sure what to expect, green as grass. Anyone know of something in Kowloon city? Any recommendations?
