In HK, local girls need the money to pay the rent and buy luxury items. Seems that everybody is working to pay the rent or to becoming a property owner. They work and after they earn a substantial amount they return home to buy an apartment or start a small business and get married. Most WGs are the same as well. She divorced him the soonest she was able to. She has been a WG for about 2 years and managed to save enough money to buy a Home in an OK part of HK. She says now all she does is work to pay her Mortgage and that on average she sees about 10 people a day. Gotta be pretty tough to be a WG.

You would be surprised how many non WGs and WGs in China, particularly in Shenzhen and Shanghai have loads of cash, much more than you can ever imagine. It is after all the fastest growing economy in the world now and that means fast money so I don't see anything wrong with blowing off some cash. Besides, a handbag that cost RMB10,000 is hardly a big ticket item for some of these women, not like a RMB1m car. For WGs, let them enjoy their hard earned cash. They need these accessories to nail a rich sugar daddy.

I also believe there is also a dark flipside of that.   Once they get older, like an professional atlete on the downhill, everything changes.  I am sure there are WG who at the alleyways or some dingy place who does FS for 100rmb or whatever.  Its no doubt a tough profession for many as well as lucrative for others.
