Lots of good advise, however depite the best plans there will potentially come a time when a strange set of circumstances will result in potential exposure. When that happens, be prepared to deny, deny, deny. Even if caught in flagrante delicto, denial leaves some chance of acquittal. Confess and your gone....

LOL, the good old "it's not what you think!" strategy, I totally agree.

I stumbled across this posting whilst searching for something else. I hope no one minds me dragging it out of the vault as I think it's probably something we all need to review from time to time.

Have to admit I don't take a lot of precautions as I don't have someone looking over my shoulder all the time, nor would I be greatly embarrassed if people around me found out about my whoring, (but no need to rub their faces in it either). We simply wouldn't discuss it in the ages old tradition of my English forebears.

My precautions are as follows:
1. I only use cash
2. I never use my mobile phone for WG pics.
3. I use a camera with a separate memory card for WG pics.
4. I keep all my photos and any other digital evidence on a separate hard drive attached to a computer that only I use.
5. I keep my bag of tricks locked away when not in use, (although sometimes forget).
6. I always use my real name and country of origin, it's a fairly common name and easy for me to remember next time.
7. I don't usually visit the same WG more than 2 or 3 times. What's the point of whoring if your not going to play the field?
8. And finally as I mentioned above I don't discuss it and would deny all in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Or as one member put it the #1 rule about fight club is that there is no fight club.

Only precaution I use is use a proxy to access 141, even if its accessible normally. Other than that, I have just one number that I use throughout China, Macau and HK. I usually dont give out my numbers unless I really like the girl.

Photos vids all in a seperate hard drive.

Never store any indecent pics on my Iphone. If i have taken a few pics, I immediately transfer them to my hard disk and delete them from the phone.

And never get too close and personal with a WG.

Find yourself a mongering buddy that can vouch that you were together at a particular time and place. Just in case SO decides becomes suspicious of your activities.

My wife has full knowledge of what I do. She encourages it, she sits on my lap while I browse girls and comments "OH no, don't do her, she looks like a horse!".

As long as I'm safe and I come home when I'm done. She is happy.

It's amazing how honesty gives you such freedom.

I wonder if there is a poll on, "Does your wife / GF has full knowledge of what you do on the side"... I wonder what are the percentages.  I think there are a few because some were looking for a threesome with the wife / GF.

I do the below:

1. Have different PAYG sim card
2. Different e-mail address
3. Fake name and personal details for the background chitty chat
4. Always use cash from cashpoint never use creditcards

I actually find it hard to hide Condoms because other half on the pill, need to keep buying them last minute which is annolying incase she find a stash of them

This is my first visit to HK, but I am well versed with Mongering in other parts of the world.  I follow just a few rules:

1. Never Monger in my Hometown.  Only when I travel, which is good because I travel quite a bit for work.
2. Special e-mail account, (No Brainer)
3. Pre-paid SIM card for the city I am in. (I have quite a collection. China, HK, Philippines, Dominican Republic, Etc.)
4. I only "research" using a laptop that my SO has no access to.

Also make a mental note of some legitimate business in the building you visit.  That's your pre-loaded answer in case you run into your mother on the way out.   And if you happen to be in a building with nothing BUT hookers then you best memorize a legitimate name from the building next to yours.

And everyone, even the single guys, should be taking the basic precautions: dedicated mongering cell phone, separate email, no personal details.  I used to just use my regular cell phone for everything, until I got a racy call from a working girl as I was exiting a meeting.

Well, I knew this was something important to me and i didn't want to get stuck with a wife that I'd have to lie and hide the truth from. So I was upfront about it.. My success rate of finding girlfriends was low.. but finally found the right one.

Weelock is right, the whole 3P thing is the trick. You gotta be open to her being with other guys, if you want her to be open to you being with other girls. I think a lot of guys have a problem with that. (also low self-esteem "What if he's BETTER than me in the sack?!")

- I of course also have separate phone numbers, email addresses and msn accounts
- I don't tell all of my friends about what I'm doing. The less people know about it the better.
- I keep up a good guy image. For example when a WG related topic comes up i say things like: "I wonder why all these guys have sex with prostitutes. This is so disgusting, think about all the STDs you can get".

And very important: If you get caught, stay cool, don't get nervous, come up with a good excuse and then make her a guilty conscience for even thinking that you might have done something bad.
I almost got caught a few weeks ago when I forgot to log out from msn and wifey used my computer. She was getting REALLY upset when a message popped up saying something like "Where are you, honey? I miss you so much". I managed to stay cool and told her that this was just a random spam message she received (luckily she doesn't know anything about computers) and that she should be more careful where she clicks because she might infect my computer with viruses.

Oooooh, not so fast there Px.     In this day and age the digital footprints you leave mean little, however you never know what the future holds.  Maybe today you're not worried about that acquaintance that sees you coming out of the Sauna, but 10 years down the road he's a born again christian and you're up for a nominationto the Supreme Court!   Game over!

It may not matter today that someone has dirt on you, but it may matter tomorrow . . .

The obvious points are all covered, I'd like to add;
1/ always browse incognito (google chrome) or the equivalent in Internet explorer, that way you don't need to worry about history. (not perfect but a good first line of defense.)
2/ separate memory card for the camera.
3/ store files on an encrypted usb drive or file. I would suggest using TrueCrypt (open source, Ive used it for years, very good).
4/ use a separate email address
Ive even been thinking about creating a separate login on my pc (calling it something like Test) that maintains the profile, etc. (pros & cons to this though)
