Its pretty hard to predict where protesters well be at any time so my recommendation would be to stay vigilant before going punting. There is also a pattern of crack downs during key mainland holidays. Given the upcoming milestone date, I would expect it would be slimmer pickings at the very end of the month and into October. #15 Post at 6-10-2019 20:47  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Travel in and out of HK is a bit inconvenient in terms of getting to airport earlier then normal or taking more time to get from airport to where ever you're going to but everything is safe On the street, as long as you tell the demonstrators you agree with them there's no problem, (you need to pretend if you really don't) other then that, transportation may be a hassle in areas they are in and sometimes you may get to smell tear gas but nothing much else. Carry a bottle of water with you all the time Biggest challange is if the girl you want is working or not
