Hi, I have an opportunity to meet a girl I have met thru an internet ad I placed.

She says she is very new to the game and is doing it to pay for some of the extra thing she wants.  She "apparently" has no idea what to charge and is asking me what going rate is.  I'm not a total newbie so am pretty sure she has an idea and is just fishing... if she's the real deal.

She sent me some pics of herself and I'd like go ahead and meet her but she seems almost too good to be true...almost!

My question is how likely are the police trying to set up a sting to catch a punter for solicitation? Does this even happen in Hong Kong? What are the laws regarding solicitation in HK.

I have heard of stings thru CL in the US by the police and am wondering if this ever happens in HK?

LEs don't generally fish for Johns like this. It's ineffective. If they want to catch Johns, they tend to hit brothels, and to a lesser extent, street walkers beCause it's usually for show, or they're looking for a bigger fish.
Online, they're usually looking for pedophiles and other predators.
I'm not saying it won't happen, it's just rare. These Ops, cost money and man hours. They don't want to go somewhere that thry can only get one or two johns. Especially if you're still in the chatting stage.... unless the girl is underaged....then we would tell you to bugger off also .haha.

But as always, just be safe and if you're not comfortable with a situation, dood, there are plenty  of fish in this pond.

Yeah, in HK this is something you dont need to worry about too much.  LE is not terribly iinterested in Johns (unlike the US).  

Her approach is common and a good sales strategy --- she wants you to make the first offer.  (maybe it will  be more than she hopes/expects).  

So, toss a number out to her that you think she is worth.  Good luck.

I am super discrete about my hobby and don't need any extra stress wondering if I'm being set up for a sting.

I have responded to her with a number based on my experience.  She hasn't responded yet..oh well.  Plenty of other fish out there.  If she was truly interested she'd counter, I imagine.  She did send me 6 photos of herself so seemed serious about meeting.

Anyway, I have a meet up date next week with another girl (a DH)...we'll see where that goes.  Looking forward to that. I do have a couple other girls who wrote me and I'm looking forward to seeing how that develops.

Also have 2 part-time pros ready to go at a moments notice next week if the meetup with the DH doesn't work out.  So many choices

Most of these girls sent me photos...one of the girls included some nude/lingerie shots.

I'd like to hit the Wanchai bar scene but at this point I just know too many guys in town who do that and I'm not (nor do I want to be known as one) in that crowd due to personal situations.

Regarding Jake's comment about nudes.  Is this true LE won't send nudes?  Why not?  Not of themselves, of course, but of a model who agreed to have her images used. No law broken, and bait-and-switch happens alkyl the time anyway.  

Is this really a useful tests?  Would be a good one to know if true.
