This is kind of harsh and don't think poor Marc will ever be paying us a visit here on this forum.

If I had to venture a guess I'd say the purpose of that clause in a pre-marital agreement would be to "undo" or override the laws of the jurisdiction that they live in. I'm also going to bet that the clause applies to both parties. For instance, California is a "no fault" state, so if someone cheats, and they decide to terminate their marriage over it, the reasons for the separation are immaterial. In Virginia, there is a penalty for infidelity, and you'd loose your claim over joint assets for cheating. Who knows exactly what they were thinking, or why this was considered to be actually newsworthy. -G Don't flame me, I swear those insults were supposed to be taken as compliments!
