#2 Post at 11-6-2010 08:00  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L the last time i went to Vancouver there was this weekend night market kind of thing somewhere in Chinatown. it took me a while to ask around to find the place since no one knew exactly how to get there. anyways it's like a small flea market with a live band playing, but the main attraction was the food court. tapioca drinks, fried curry fish balls, lots of different kinds of buns, sui mai, squid, chinese donuts, there was plenty of finger food and meal type of deals. mostly everyone was there for the food court and a little after dinner shopping. that was a fun experience with some good food. maybe you should try it out.

Kirin on Alberni street is always solid, and if you want more casual then there's Hon's on Robson. If you want to eat some good Japanese tapas, head to Guu.  They have 3 locations in vancouver and 1 in richmond.

I went there for "siu yeah" and was very disappointed. if you like kintaro i would recommend the that new ramen place next to garlic guu (bidwell and robson). The shiyo ramen is way better than anything I've ever had (in vancouver anyway).
