That's why France TV channel Canal+ use acoustic technology to isolate the vuvuzela noise while not affecting other sounds.

My match prediction is Italy 1 : 0 New Zealand.

Italy has been strong in defence.
Although I personally don't like defensive football, Italy should be able to get a clean sheet.
However, it will be another upset for the soccer favourite if ruby favourite New Zealand win.

Yes. looks like a lot of the 'major' footballing nations are having a had time.  Can see France, England and Italy going home early.  They just dont have the passion.

From the slow motion replay, Shane Smeltz was actually standing in the offside position before Cannavaro diverting the ball.
The referee just don't notice that New Zealand is offside.

My match prediction for Brazil v Ivory Coast is either Brazil won by 1 or 2 goals.
I have confidence with my all time favourite Brazil that play attractive yet effective football under current manager Dunga.
However, Kaka has yet to find his top performance in this season.
I just hope that Robinho continue to create chances and open up spaces as the match against North Korea.

Underwhelming performances from the big guns (Spain losing to the Swiss, Brazil conceding a goal against North Korea, France in total self-destruction, England drawing with Algeria and USA and playing like total shite , Holland not convincing against Japan, Germany losing to Serbia). The most recent now is Italy actually drawing against New Zealand!

Now you hear rumors of dressing room problems in the England camp Best WC qualifying campaign in a long while, filling fans with hope, and again self-destruction. John Terry reporting that they are going to speak to the manager After Capello instilling discipline in the squad and making the team work hard, now they question his methods? Fantastic. And the english media are not helping matters. What makes it worse is seeing ex-players (Barnes, Mcmanaman) heaping more comments.

This situation reflects badly on the players and coaches , although I'm not sure what more Capello can do to make the England players play hard instead of playing with their tails between their legs.

Maradona, the one person who was likely to be a big joker in this WC, has come out looking like a world class coach, coaxing Messi and the others into an offensive machine. Even he can't avoid not laughing that England are becoming more laughable by the minute.

Italy were very poor and against New Zealand as well.  It just goes to show that if youre good enough to reach the world cup then youre a pretty good side.  There are no easy games.

I think Boubacar Barry has made a wrong decision to stay in front of the net.
He should have try to approach Fabiano and close down the shooting angle before Fabiano's shoot.
I hope Ivory Coast play better in the second half.

What's going on with the referee?
From the slow motion replay, Fabiano has used his upper arm twice to control the ball before scoring the second goal.

Also, the referee should protect Brazil players, the Ivory Coast players committed fouls to stop Brazil's procession.
Their tackles are not aiming at the ball BUT the LEGS.

Dunga should have replace Kaka immediately after winning 3 goals to avoid the yellow/red card afterward and the possibility of injury.

Man of the match is Kaka. He has displayed improvements with two assists.
