They may even send in President Carter to negotiate your release. In Dongbei, there's sufficient heating in the winter alright. When I first visited, it was a lot more advanced than I had ever imagined. Lots of money, great restaurants and department stores are generally more expensive than in Guangdong. It's not exactly like a backwater wilderness. Most of the nicest WGs have gone to Shanghai and Dalian and the south. They don't want to work too close to home. As for North Korea, that is so not happening in my lifetime.
