RECOMMENDATIONS ON A PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO....

Alright bros RICO here in need of a little guidence " YET AGAIN".....

I am planning to get new wedding pictures taken again next year.....RICO got his last photoshoot in the UK and to be honest i don'treally like them....

I have been hearing from friends who have had their wedding photos shot in Hong Kong and they really put my photos to shame...Their photos look more professionally done...

I also believe they offer this service in China too.....Is it cheaper in China....

Can any bros shed some light on this subject......( A recommendation on a photography studio that can make UGLY RICO look like a million dollars....)

There are tons of studios throughout Hong Kong that do studio photo service, however many of them are low end and up with similar quality pictures.... there are a few studios which are set apart, however the price invariably goes up...

The UK has many well known photographers who do studio work, why not stick with it out there :S ?

However for a more modern look for photo's you can try a place called Venture, its a big chain out here in HK, and they are established in the UK.

Rico, there are many studios in HK but you don't want special pictures ending up like those typical mainland Chinese studio wedding pictures. Suggest you check out the following sites below. Ask them to send you some samples of their wedding portfolio before you decide on which one.

Are you talking about those "Taiwanese" beauty studios who can make any girl look like a movie star?

There are more than a few in Hong Kong and Macau that can do that for you, ie, makeup and styling.  The photography itself is not that great, but I will agree that their stylists and makeup artists do decent work for a small budget.

You can probably do the same in the UK, except you will need to hire those people separately from the photography studio.

it depends what you are after. I personally don't like the over photoshopped stuff, where you face doesn't look like your face.
So we went with Romantic Life. http://www.romanticlife.com.hk/
Their "studio" left a lot to be desired .. but out door shoots were great .. Not the cheapest but definity our cup of tea.

Taiwan

You could try a weekend at Taiwan to take the wedding photos? The package is relatively cheaper and provide more dazzling pics than just doing in a studio in HK. You can organize everything in HK and take a hop over to Taipei.

If you're still planning to go to Shanghai in September then it might be worth taking it there as there are some romantic shots that can be taken in the city.

I have some friends that do wedding photography professionally. Their style is more of the photo journalistic type. I think that style is more realistic than the traditional portrait types.

www.wayneyuan.com

www.table4weddings.com

I am not sure if there is anyone that is doing this style of wedding photography in HK but I am sure you can find someone. I personally like this style better than the standard portrait type.

In Taiwan they do a ton of this type of photography and it is a fraction of the cost in the US. I would recommend you do it in Taiwan
