The University should not have any control over the personal lives of the students.
And it does not mean that being someone's mistress, that girl give up her right for a decent education.

Being the right person's mistress would in fact broaden her education considerably. I think a lot of women would be better partners for having had this education before settling down.

This stuff doesn't just happen in PRC ...

I have a US work colleague ... he knew a chick hired by his company (very large multinational, can't name it here) ... pretty soon she was promoted ... then promoted again ... then again to a different department.  He watched her participate in a meeting being completely clueless about her area of responsibility.  She was fucking her way up the ladder.  

I also met a guy in UK, recently promoted to Director of a medium-sized company - the youngest ever Director of that company, and yes, good-looking.  During the conversation he talked a few times about a woman member of the Board who had given him encouragement and advice.  Then one of my mates (a technician, straightforward salt of the earth but with a big mouth) casually said "I bet he's giving her one", and the guy blushed as red as a Chinese-New-Year shirt, without saying anything ...

Sex for money and advancement is definitely not a third-world tactic.

Sex for advancement isnt something new. People are going to use what they have to get what they want. It is merely a means to an end and if that means giving up your body, well that's a function of your ethics, values and perspectives etc.

I say that if you have attributes or assests whether it be money, looks, brains, humor or watever then there is no crime in getting the most out of what you have as long as you are not stepping on someone else in the process. The most personable, sociable, friendly, smartest girl isn't going to win Miss Universe if she has an ugly face. Life isn't fair but that just means we can get ahead if we want it badly enough.

I can only agree, though it far more common for women to use this method of advancement, most are quite happy to claim special privileges when it suits them whilst claiming they only want equal rights.

As for the hypocrites promoting/mentoring her, sounds more like a semi-legitimate way to get the company to pay for your rooting without an escort or brothel showing up on the company credit card.

especially when you conclude that a disturbing % of the decision-makers wielding power in the World have got there not as the result of any qualifications or expertise, but as a result of their willingness to fuck another even more irresponsible decision-maker.

let me just say that its just a sad sad world we all live in - a world which we will all fuck up one day   until then i think most of us have already made up our own minds on what we need to do for our own personal gain or achievement..

I'm all for equality as a concept, but women are different than men, and the way men interact with women will always be different to the way they interact with other men, and vice versa. FACT!

Yet we all seem to have to play this game where we try to deny this. Crazy!

At the end of the day, it is human nature to use whatever you can to get what you want... being your sexuality, your status, or your company credit card..   We cannot deny our own nature.
