Summer Movies

Ah it's almost summer. You can expect BBQ, Fireworks, Girls in short shorts, and Summer Movies.

Here's my Top 3 summer movies I'll be waiting for:
- The Expendables (All Star Cast including my favorite action star Jet Li)
- Salt (Angelina Jolie, what more can I say)
- The Karate Kid (Classic remake starring Jackie Chan)

Anyone else care to share their favorites?

We in HK don't what is coming to HK until it comes.

We BBQ all year around and though the local girls have only started wearing short shorts 2 months ago, our mainland sisters visiting from way up north (used to the cold) always wear short shorts year round in HK.

Prince of Persia is the must watch.  The special effects for it is absolutely dazzling.  I just hope the story lines lives up to expectations.

One of your favorite stars Megan Fox in "Jonah Hex" is in late June. Heard the movie might be a flop.

"The Sorerer's Appentices" looks interested with Nicolas Case.

For Prince of Persia, I play the computer game when I was young. It was fun to play. Prince of Persia II was not as good as the first game. I hope the movie is just as good. It's opening this week. I saw some nice special effect previews.

Yea I saw the trailer for Jonah Hex and it didn't look all that great especially if it didn't have megan fox i wouldn't have really paid attention. kind of gross watching megan fox be with that ugly faced old man in that movie ahaha. I didn't even know Nicholas Cage had a movie coming out this summer, I'm a huge fan of his movies. The Sorerer's Appentices looks pretty good especially with jerry bruckhimer. My friend is a prince of persia fan, so were going for sure... oh and look who's starring in the movie Gemma Arterton the transformer 3 star taking over for megan fox.

In HK, all American and English films are spoken in their native language with Chinese subtitles. For Chinese movies, it's the other way around.

In Japan, a lot of the Western movies are dubbed in Japanese as in Thailand.

In HK many people speak English to some degree.  I was thinking more like China where illiteracy is higher & many movies would need to be dubbed.

Most Western films are dubbed into Mandarin in China. In major cities, Beijing and Shanghai, they will also be shown in English.

I hate dubbed movies as I rather read subtitles then to have a weird voice speaking for each character...just my $0.02 though...but i guess dub does cater to some audiences that are lazy to read when they're at the movies hahahaha

Salt should be good, Angelina Jolie can usually carry a film. I actually kind of want to watch the A team, that also looks interesting.

Definitely am not hyped for Karate Kid Black Edition, the trailer looked terrible, lol.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time seeing Jackie Chan in the Pat Morita role.  Plus this thing is a Will Smith project for his kid Jaden, talk about getting it handed to you on a silver platter . . .

Definitely won't be paying to see this one in the theater.  Love Jackie Chan, but I hope this one bombs and teaches Hollywood something about the downsides of nepotism.  We all had to suffer the Baldwin brothers (only Alec was talented), please don't make us watch the entire Smith family prance their lives away on stage.

I didn't do it.  Really I didn't.
