The agent will show you the building, once you get inside, he will ask you to transfer the 300 rmb commission via wechat. Once the commision is transfered he will tell you the girl apartment. Take note that if you don't like the girl you can always walk away and ask the agent for another one. (I spent 40 minutes walking around different buildings one day because I kept being not satisfied !).

Is that very common in SZ or just that agent.

Hey no worries ! Well most of the time it's common to do every transactions trough wechat, it's discreet and then the WG, the mamasan and the agent will get the money directly without a need of meeting in person.

I should clarify that the agent job is just to contact the mamasan for you to get the girl you want (or to get girls that accept foreigners).

Ok let me get this straight... You contact agent and agent contract mamasan who get the WG for you.  WOW 2 layers to get to the WG.  LOL.  I can't go to mamasan or that is not the norm.

You can try to go to mamasan by directly adding the wechat account but on my side it always ended up with a choice of very few girls because "not many WG accept foreigners". If you look asian it's easier but since I don't look asian at all.....

You can go to a bank in HK, China to attach a account to your wechat account.

You should be able to attach a USA or Canadian bank account also but not 100 percent sure.

Only foreign accounts that can be linked to WeChat are some Credit Cards.

These can't be used to transfer money, only to buy some stuff from WeChat related stores.

You don’t always have t pay the agent via weechat. If you tell the agent that you give the fee the wig, I am sure it’s fine. In fact, the whole point of agent is to translate for foreigners.  So, they should expect that most of foreign clients do not have bank accounts in China. Like you, the pricing foreigners pay for wg and agent are overinflated in sz. If you speak Chinese, you can get the same service < 1000 rmb.

My 1st WeChat account was downloaded in North America and everything works ok till I try to have the “wallet” function.  Tried all different ways just no luck.  2nd WeChat account downloaded In China and the “wallet” function poped up.....But still can’t get my Foreign Creditcard add to it.  Now I have my friend send me money and I pay back with cash.  Still can’t do DIDi for a cab though, need a local cell number .  Maybe they have 2 different version WeChat? believe it or not my 1st RMB$1000 was transferred from my hotel manager after I passed her an equal value of US$.

The wallet function is available in the US version but it got locked down when China changed all the restrictions on the wechat pay and how much you can transfer and all that jazz.  I've found the way to open it up is to get somebody to send you a red envelope to the us account and then wallet function will open up.  But is no use in the states unless you can open up a bank account in china to tie it to.

yeah, i've got two phones. One has wechat downloaded in UK and the other has wechat downloaded in HK. I've got the wallet function on both but the HK wechat cannot transfer RMB - just HKD (some effort by govt to stop people laundering money out of China).  However, my UK account allows me to transfer both HKD and RMB - not sure why.  I've managed to attach my HK bankcards but usually i just give my friends the cash and ask they to transfer the equivalent money to my wechat wallet.  Its vital to have WeChat (or Alipay) in China now - various places wont even consider cash!
