Had a few colleagues in town last week, so on their last night we took them out in Shekou.

After a nice meal with the SO's.. we headed to McCawleys for a couple of swift ones, then to Purple Charm. Purple Charm is a very nice bar inside, opposite McCawleys just passed the banks.

There are 2/3 beautiful girls in this bar. Amy & Rachel are probably the best. Amy is the most beautiful and always dressed looking very fashionable and stunning. But you will never get anywhere with her I have yet to meet a guy that has done ANYTHING with her & I had a friend who spent a long time trying. Rachel is awesome but put on a lot of weight, I used to be in love with this girl many years ago. She used to work in legends in the old bar street.

This bar was just a warm up. We had a couple here & a few games of pool then we went to Legends bar.

For me, this is the best bar around right now, this bar or Zombie bar.

FYI - I Bar/U bar (Opposite Mcdonalds) has shut down, it was a very small bar next to Amigos, I hated this place, ex Moonlight girls who constantly try and rip you off. Yes I know most bars do this They drink singles and charge you for doubles then tell me.. this is the new price.. they do not realise I live here! Bitches!

So, 4 of us went to Legends bar and it was empty, save for one guy drinking near the bar. A couple of girls know us well in here now as we usually take customers or colleagues here. 2/3 girls here are very fun, Summer is one, she is in her early 30's & is around 5 feet tall, short light brown hair, beautiful smile & slim figure. She is probably one of two girls here that is not drink happy! The last few times I have been here, she always sits with me & she knows my policy now, 1 drink for me, 1 drink for her.

But of course this night was different as I was not paying There is also a young girl in here, who has a body to die for.. my god.. I am not sure about her name, but she is around 22/23 years old and has the best body I have ever seen on a WG.. loved watching her play pool. Pretty sure she is looking for a BF though .. she is quite judgemental, in a weird way. My colleague was buying her drinks & she seemed happy, but she does not like you touching her, even her leg then my colleague talked to another girl & she walked away & would not come back, calling him a playboy

I took a colleague to bottoms up for a couple as he had never been. Bottoms up has been redecorated. There were a few girls working, 2 were quite fit. Sonny & another one, Jojo I think (the one obe loves?) we had a few games of pool but to be honest, it was not as good as legends, so we went back and Summer was there. Summer & I ended up in the corner where I proceeded to take her bra off & play with her boobs & LS I asked her if she went back with punters & she said sometimes, but she could not tonight as she had to go home.. OK fair enough, I drank too much anyway

No idea what the bill was at the end of the night, I left at 2:30 and my colleagues were still there. I popped into Zombie bar and had a couple of drinks with a girl called Angel who is a part timer there, pretty nice looking lady. The other girls were with a whale at the bar.

Zombie Bar & Singles bar are still there. Carefree is closed for renovations.

But now there is a new Craft beer bar between Zombie & Singles bar, which may affect business as more chance of being seen going into these bars.. especially for people who lives here.

Very bad the u bar was shut down. I had a lot of fun there last year, one of the girls where very beutiful, but the old one was just annoying. Looking forward to seeing shenzhen again soon

Bar scene in Shekou is going from bad to worse. Not worth the train ticket. High class bars with pretty girls are well trained to suck you dry (your wallet). Low class places might offer action, but it's still way overpriced and the service is from girls that have served more men than a Starbucks Barista. All the middle of the road places are gone. Now it's just the high rollers and the sleaze.

And like Petay just mentioned, there is a new Craft beer bar right in the middle of all the sleaze bars. That might just be the coup de grace for those little bars. Take all the business from guys that want to drink good beer, and scare off the punters. I do wish him well though. I yearn for good fresh craft beer again.

I also used to like U Bar a couple of years ago, or early last year. But it was taken over by some other bar girls and it was never the same. The girls would constantly try and cheat you, charge you for double even when you buy them singles and BS like that.. So I stopped going.

A couple years ago I went into a bar at Seaworld. It's called Hideout. I was rather naive and really didn't know anything about the girl bars in Shekou. Truth. It had a few pretty girls in there pushing for drinks and making me think they loved me. haha. Went back in there the other night. All they had was 3 sea hags that couldn't get a German shepherd horny. It was gross

Don't want to start a new thread on this subject. But thought I'd provide a little update

Havana Bar: Went in there out of curiosity. Immediately got accosted by 2 mediocre girls. Told them I just would buy drinks for 1 girl. So the other girl went back to the group of about 4 reasonably attractive girls that were surrounding some fat guy on the chair. Looked like he was enjoying himself, but I think he was spending at least 1k per hour to get his arm stroked and told how handsome he is. Anyway, I was having a pleasant conversation with this girl. Suddenly some guy walks in. Heads straight to the back room. She says 'scuse me" and follows him. I'm like WTF? I waited a few minutes. Then go have a pee. Then come back and she's still gone. So there I am with my glass empty. Her glass that I just bought sitting on the table full. Paid the bill and left quickly. I think I spent about 500 for nothing but conversation. Not sure how much money you need to spend there to get past talk, but I suspect a lot more than those girls are worth.

As bro cruman states... most people who know this bar stay away from this bar as the girls totally take the piss, last time I was there with a friend we walked out and refused to pay for the girls drinks, never been back since.

The craft neer place "FUBAR" has a soft opening on 31st March. (Better "soft openings" available next door!).

Rachel in Purple Charm: agreed she was cute as hell in the old Legends. But she was also 17 at the time. I couldn't quite work out why something seemed inappropriate to go further back then, until someone told me (I'm not a young buck).  She's still hot, even if she isn't as skinny as back then, but she's also a little more "worldly wise", or synical too.

I still find Singles Bar the most reliable. They have 2-3 hot girls, 2 hotish and accomodating, plus some 1 or 2 baggers. HJ on site, and I've seen at least one of the hot ones coming back from take-out.

I avoid Havana bar like the plague. The owner Lucy had the original beer paradise about nine years ago roughly where Havana bar is now. She also had Sunflower bar when it was in its prime. It really was the best bar in town outside of the old bar street.

Pity Sunflower has had many owners since and it's never been the same.

The girls in Havana are given quotas to meet every night hence they are so pushy and don't give customer service.

One girl told me there if I guy walks in drunk and unaware of his spending they will pad the bill an extra five double drinks.

There are other bars to try like Sunrise upstairs where you get customer service and the real bill.

Yes, it's a pity Havana didn't carry any of the saucy charm of Sunflower.  I think it may be down to the girls which came with Lucy, and those that didn't. Some of the ones that came along were attractive, but they were more pushy and greedy.

What happened to Lucy's "cousin" Coco? She was always fun and got a lot of drinks from being friendly and flirtatious, not demanding drinks incessantly.

There's a lesson here. If you want to make a bar where men will part with their cash, don't go upmarket and expensive if there is no insentive for the men to spend more.

I am well aware that if you are drunk they try and pad the bill, if I go here on my own I usually pay per drink so they don't take the piss

Yes, they pad the bill. All the bars do. Maybe bring a tally sheet and have the girl initial each one along with the price.

My first time in Shekou to that little skanky bar, I had a bill of something like 3500rmb. I was shocked, but paid it. I was pretty naive and they knew it. I've since realized they probably doubled my bill at least. No wonder every time I walk by there the sea hags still remember me and try to drag me in.

Happened to be wandering through Shekou the other day and saw Hideout - it's next door to Moulin Rouge.  It was day time so all the bars were closed, but wouldn't have gone in anyway!  The bar scene in Shekou is nothing like  it used to be.  Wish I'd made the most of going to the old bar street 8 or 9 years ago when I was first introduced to it.  Didn't realise it was going to be all downhill from then on

Only ever been to hideout once and left after one drinks.. all skanks..

I went out 2 nights ago and went to Legends with a colleague, could not get a seat! It was so busy 2 new girls in there and they were both 10/10, totally amazing girls, one had tattoos on her legs.. MCOT

Then we went to bottoms up, Rose (The main girl there) was working as well as all the other girls.. but no customers..

I was in Legends a while back. Only one other guy in the place. And ironically, he was gay and chatting with the gay bartender.

Yeah legends can be touch and go. But it is still the best bar in town, as long as you can manage the pushy girls. Thankfully I never saw the gay guy lol

But I do hate it when it is so busy... I actually saw a friend of a friend at the bar drinking and we kind of looked at each as if to say "I didn't see you & you didn't see me"...

Hideout and Moulin rouge are somehow still open... never ever seen anyone in them drinking...

Well, interesting you say that. It seems that just yesterday the hags from Flowergirl bar on have taken over the Moulin Rouge. Not surprisingly, dead as a door nail. I think Flower girl was on that other little street last year. So they've moved twice trying to find fresh meat to "serve".

Yep this will be Flower girls bar third location in twelve months. Really I think it is time Apple the owner just gives up as moving to a place with higher rent with her crew of old hags is just not going to work.

I remember telling Apple a few years ago she needs to stop employing cousins and get some new faces in her bar. As usual they don't listen.

Also noticed red rose bar is now a foot massage place. Only four bars operational in dirty street now.
