Wheelock, Yes, when I buy the cigarettes as with anything else I am certain its genuine. It's just a matter of doing some research on the provenance on whatever you buy and being able to identify the fakes as with everything in China. If one is ignorant about the product then don't buy it. I often buy a lot of vintage Moutai in China and these cost anywhere between US$1,000 to US$3,000 per bottle and as long as you know what you're getting it's fine.

I actually quit smoking when I saw the huge amount of cigs that they smoke in the mainland.

I mean, it always seemed okay for me smoking with friends, but a chain of events starting with my best mate coughing up blood and ending with me working in the mainland just completely put me off smoking.

It just looked terrible seeing so many mainlanders puffing away on cigarettes.  They looked like drug addicts, and it kind of opened my eyes a little to what I was doing.

Haven't had a cigarette since, and I feel quite good about it.
