iPhone 4 fever intensifies on the Mainland - now out of stock in HK and China

The iPhone 4 is no longer available in HK and according to the Apple HK Website, it list the product as 'Currently Unavailable'. The iPads and Macs are still shipping but iPhone 4s are totally out of stock for a while to come. According to my friend, iPhone 4s are going for a 20% premium now in China and even second hand units are being sold for a 10% premium. If you own the iPhone 4 and have second thoughts about it, there's no better time than now to sell this at a profit if you're based in HK.

Yes  was running around today and wanted to upgrade from my old 3G...   
As I am leaving soon, I need to get my new iphone in Europe for a much higher price or wait until my next visit in beginning next year...
Anyway many thanks for the "official" information...

that's funny. my ex just bought one on Saturday! I personally don't understand what the fuss is all about. people in HK and China are going fucking nuts over a goddamn phone, which isn't even a huge huge improvement over the previous model. sure it's got a number of significant new features and improvements, but it's hardly revolutionary.

single price of iphone 4 in mongkok is about 8k...OMG...this price is equal to a high performance desktop computer...

lol ... i should get some from aus and sell it in hk. I've had one for 2 months now ... excellent device .. but kinda crap as an actually phone.

Do you ex bought it from one of the mobile operators with phone plan? I think mobile operators should still have some on stock but will not surprise they will out of stock soon too.

you can still get one or more in the private market in china, although the price is a bit higher. in fact,  i really don't understand why it is so popular, it's crazy, i would rather get a N8

I gave up on iPhones two generations ago.

I made excuses about not liking the way Apple do business, other phones having more features, blah blah blah...

But in the end it all boiled down to the fact that I can't stand having the same damned phone as everybody else in Hong Kong!

People crazy on iphone because the design is so cool, so it has become sort of fashion already. They also have a lot of apps too, so they have integrated so many functions in a phone - from calling ppl, reading news/books, playing games... or even searching 141 too.

N8 has pretty good video quality and they have HDMI interface but i am not too sure how many people will us it though. but many people complain to the Symbian OS before.
