Search on for Aussie Playboy Bunnies to fill six-month spots at Sands Macao Hotel

        •        Search for Aussie Playboy Bunnies
        •        Bunnies would work at club in Macau
        •        Playboy promises 'diverse' work

CHINESE businessmen are hopping over to Australia to go hunting for the world's best bunnies - and not of the small, fluffy variety.
The spotlight search is on for stylish, engaging and sophisticated women to audition in Sydney to become an iconic Playboy Bunny in Macau.
Successful Aussie ambassadors will score a six-month employment contract in Playboy's newest club atop the luxurious Sands Macao Hotel.

And for those who don't fancy wearing bunny ears and a fluffy tail, talent scouts are also on the lookout for dancers, as well as singers of opera, musical theatre, jazz and pop.

An island territory in the People's Republic of China, Macau is a special administrative region that relies heavily on the tourism and entertainment trades for its economy, like Hong Kong.

In May, 2004, the once-Portuguese occupied territory opened the Sands Macao Hotel, which is the first Las-Vegas-style casino in Macau.
To celebrate the Playboy Club's 50th birthday in 2010, the 1,114 sq m penthouse of the hotel will feature Playboy-inspired decor and artwork, high-end gaming, and an opulent lounge overlooking the Macau skyline.

Sands Macao Hotel creative director Tomos Griffiths says bunny rabbit spotlights have been turned south with some of the world's best untapped talent living in the land Down Under.

"As an artist myself I understand the importance of being able to offer diversity in the work," he said.

"One day they will be performing at a corporate function for major banks, the next day they could be performing with Lady Gaga.

"It is amazing to see the growth in our artists during their contracts."

Despite auditions only being held in Sydney, he encouraged potential singers, dancers and Playboy bunnies from across the country to try out.

Six-month contracts for successful applicants include return airfares to Macau, accommodation, meals, uniforms, a work visa and training.

Playboy bunny hunt auditions will be at the Tank Nightclub, Sydney, on November 17 for those over 18.

Auditions for dancers and singers will take place on November 18 and 19 at the Sydney Dance Company.

In 6 months time, we should start seeing more Australian freelancers who were originally brought over as Playboy bunnies but did not get their contractors renewed.

I suspect many of these Australian girls may have never been to China, Macau, or HK and once they see all that money that is flowing in Macau they will want to stay regardless if their 6-month contract gets renewed or not.

So it is  goodbye to Russian freelancers and hello to hot Australian freelancers.

I would welcome the hot Australian freelancers and would love to do a few but I don't think they will come yet.

Most girls go into this line of work for the fast and large amount of money.  I never been to Australia and I don't know what they charge for LT/ST.  If the girl make a lot less than what she can at home, why leave. Just like many places claiming they have Japanese girls in Macau but are just Chinese girls. There are a few Japanese girls but not a lot in Macau / HK because they will make far less in Macau / HK than in Japan.

With the RMB rising and other currencies lowering, I see it happening more likely in a few years with the Australians. This is just my opionion.

I was at the soft opening and then again at the Playmates competition. Talked to the girls and they're not WGs, some are just students that want to see this part of the world. Not all blond, beautiful girls from Australia are hookers, you know. I had a talk with one of the playmates and on that day was so sick with the flu, I actually sneezed without warning and got some gob on her upper breasts. I was so embarrassed but she responded with grace and decorum. There are lots of saunas and KTVs in Macau and I can say the Playboy Club is not that kind of place. Not for now anyway.

Yes, when I saw that portrait, it did remind me of my avatar and it has inspired me to change it to Huey and not keep Bogey. Was told by the manager that the portrait was a gift presented to Hugh for his 81st birthday.

I think the portrait makes him look like a serial killer, rather than the rather sad old man he's become.

Looks as though he's about to say. "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti." ...
