Is anyone using the Blackberry Torch?

Has anyone upgraded to the Blackberry Torch 9800 and any opinions?
Is it worth upgrading from Blackberry 9700. I have an older model and the "pearl" trackball collects dust and gives problems every few months.

I am using the Storm. It has a touch screen and works much better than the trackball. I used to use the pearl. I think its worth upgrading

Just bought the Torch 9800 and using it for about 5 days. There is a defect in the design. The lock key on the upper left hand corner is very sensitive and comes unlocked once it gets into your pocket. Other than that, I like the new OS 6 and the enlarged screen but still prefer the Bold 9700. FYI, the new Bold would be coming out in the first quarter of next year, also with OS6.

One question, I seem to miss overnight emails on my Torch when I put it on silent mode at night? Anybody had a similar experience? This has happened two nights now but I've only be using the new Torch for 4 days. I do get the missed emails on my server and also my iPhone 4 though. This is a curious situation as I always thought that Blackberry is the most reliable when it comes to receiving and sending out email.

Geo, I'm using a Bold 9700 but seriously considering the Torch. I was concerned though reading that the web browser is slow. Your thoughts? How do you rate the web surfing and browsing experience. My primary need is for email which is why I stick to Blackberry more so than an iPhone, however I would like a better web experience if it's possible with the Torch?

I'm using the Bold 9000
Very reliable and my trackball is always fine
I recommend using MemoryBooster app, really makes the device a lot faster!

I actually find the browser in the Torch a big improvement over the Bold 9700 but think the iPhone 4.0 is far superior when it comes to browsing speed. Another gripe I have is the battery life is greatly reduced when compared to the Bold 9700 and I can barely get through a day without charging it twice.

I did the 9700 to torch switch,
biggest mistake was using some older apps on it that were not compatable.

Just make sure you are on OS
246, it is very solid for me. 141
was not so good that shipped
with earlier devices.
I am enjoying the Torch a lot.
Let us know how you progress.
