Recommend me^ comfy leather shoes for walking?

When I was in hk it required a lot of walking around a d I found my leather shoe was rather inadequate for the task . Ended up with sore feet n soles. I was searching for a pair that has soft n cushiony soles, somewhat like Nike air or like those comfy running shoes that u can walk for long dist comfortably. But I don't want sports shoes...

Anyone got recommendation?

I actually bought Clarke brand leather shoes but still hurts

Try Rockport - their shoes are quite comfortable for walking and look alright for the office too.

Another option - Geox . which I think are even more comfortable although they tend to have a 'casual' look.

comfy shoes

HK is a walkin' town, and walking is good exercise, so definitely invest on some good walking shoes. don't neglect the SOCKS: i wear Thor-Lo socks that have extra padding in toe and heel areas. they cost a lot more than ordinary socks but i swear by them, they also last for years. i walk a lot and do treadmill-cardio so i need good shoes/socks.

as far as shoes, many swear by Rockport--i've never tried them so can't comment. the leather shoes from the 50s don't do much but protect yr feet from the pavement: u SLAP yr foot down with every step. i use Air Nikes: the air-cushion concept means the impact of each step is spread out over time. there are other factors besides--i use custom orthotics to protect the foot-arch, but many are fine with an over-the-counter orthotic and they're even putting arch-support insoles in shoes nowadays.

a visit to the foot-care section of any Manning's or Watsons will demonstrate that foot-care products are as popular here in Hong Kong as anywhere.

BTW, tshirt, i posted a custom-avatar step-by-process in reply to yr query:
http://forum.sex141.com/eforum/v ... =page%3D1#pid321172

JtB

PS: re-read yr post and u said "u don't want sports shoes"...i wear my black Nikes everywhere, but i'm not a suit and tie guy. if u really want that buttoned-up look check out the Rockports as they do resemble dress-shoes. hope they will reduce the pain.

Ecco - affordable and very comfy
Lloyd - comfy with stylish narrow look even for flat feet
Cole Hann - has Nike Air in some of their leather shoes series

all 3 can be easily found in HK's shopping malls.

Geox and Ecco are both good for walking, I have used both for walking but I like Geox a bit more.  I recently bought a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo which were very comfortable walking around HK.  They had rubber soles and surprisingly very comfortable.

I used to have some Hush Puppies that were amazing. I wonder if they have them in HK... I second Geox, the cushion system they got is also great.

I have a pair of Rockport, which are very good. But my all time favorite is still Timberland. I have been wearing Timberland brand for the past 20 years or so. Always super comfy and durable.

I say GEOX cause the make is very good and also cooling, hard to compare them with Timberland cause GEOX is more of a normal walking shoe while Timberland is more outdoor.

I love both.

Rockport signatures are great and good bang for the buck, if you can't find them get a pair of cole hann or bally.

I agree with the bros about Rockports.  I wear those shoes for work in the office and use them for double duty when I need to walk around with a pair of casual/dress shoes - as in when a pair of Nikes won't work.  I haven't tried Geox, but I've been wanting to.  I've found Ecco shoes to be more expensive than Rockports, so I haven't tried them either.

Geox is good. Ferragamo also is unusually comfortable, especially if you're not in casual attire

Thanks guys, but can someone tell me where can i buy these brands?

I usually live in Australia and its really hard to buy decent shoes here......

I think the best place to buy shoes is in Malaysia or China? I went to Malaysia and saw a pair of Clarke shoes, is much cheaper compared to HK.

These may be what you're looking for? NOT MCOT but if you want to walk the path of a man without sin... these look like "the go".

wow, lots of great advice!

thanks to everyone...i just changed my avatar to Tura Santana as she passed away recently. incredible obit in the NYT:
http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.co ... lt-actress-is-dead/

except for Tura, all my avatars have been The Red Ant except the braid/breasts one which is Soong #2, Vietnamese, in Phnom Penh. agree she has amazing pert knockers, tshirt, but the braid slithers right into my reptilian brain and fires up all sorts of primal synapses. and no foto can capture what that woman does in the FLESH...

u may have to pay over-the-odds for postage, but since Amazon bought Zappos, the most comprehensive line of shoes is at amazon.com...there are other sites, and there may be some in Oz. but Amazon lets u see them from different angles, tells u which are in stock, color options, etc. however, shoe sizes do vary between manufacturer so if trying an unfamiliar product, best if u can get yr feet inside 'em...i know what i like so if they're in stock, i just buy 'em. usually have stuff shipped to a pal Stateside to save on postage IF i'm heading there on biz: just pack it all up and go back to Asia...

Caterpillar boots are ultra comfortable. Mine were stolen from the gym and I bought some Timberlands to replace them, but the Cats felt infinitely superior.

Both Geox and Ecco's are sold in Australia.  Dont know about pricing compared to HK but should be pretty close.

All I did was I went to the international sites for both these brands (www.geox.com and ecco.com) and searched up the australian stores.  Go check it out, as I dont know which part of Australia you live in, but both brands seem to have the country covered.

They are both great brands of shoes and extremely comfortable.
