I believe that it is just the culture. More western countries accept this pratice. Muslim women shave for the same reasons. However there are a lot of French women that don't even shave their arm pits. Also I've asked a few Asian girls why they don't trim or shave they say the up keep is really high and when the hair grows out it is a bit uncomfortable. But my theory is because it is not fully accepted in the culture. Maybe this will change over time as they accept more of the western influence.

From what i do know is that they do trim (or at least try to). And personally for me, i think its kindda sexy to have a small bush there rather than something that is totally bare or totally like some amazon jungle.

It may be the start of another thread, but here in the States most working ladies always shave down there.  I can't remember one who didn't.  And in the strip clubs, after 20+ years of going, I can only remember seeing one bush.

please, don't think for one second, that is why it is popular in the US especially to shave their pubes.
the main reason is because it is what porn stars and strippers and the like do it and guys who watch porn and go to strip joints then encourage their GFs to trim and/or shave.

There is no real medical based hygiene reason for a woman to shave their pubic hair. If it were actually better then surely all GPs would recommend that it be done and that it would in turn, seeing as Hong Kong was under British rule for 100 years, be common practice there but it isn't.


Going back to the reasons why.
Let's go on a basic step by step analysis of it.
Porn stars and strippers tend to shave because it allows better access/view of the goods. Now when a punter, be it to a show or of a purchase of a porn vid, watches the show, they see the goods to facilitate them getting off. This in turn creates a link between getting off and shaved women. That is all it is. You're just used to seeing shaved women.


Long, sticky and smelly? That is not a pubic hair problem, that is a  personal hygiene problem and if it smells down there, I can guarantee you it isn't because of the hair.


As my my personal preferences, I have to say I don't think I have one. It really isn't something that matters to me. I've been with a few small bbc and hk chinese girls who were absolutely tiny and if it weren't for a bit of hair, they would've looked like a 12-14 year old with wide hips.

someone told me that they don't save because it is considered bad luck.  I don't know why  that is, but that's part of the culture.  Maybe it represents cutting off or losing something?

I agree with the culture thing, as mentioned in the states, men are used to the trimmed/shaved look based off porn/strippers, can't blame them it looks cleaner IMO.

Whereas in Asia, they don't have the same adult content material to influence them.  It might be a issue of constant maintenance that they aren't really interested in doing as well, this goes for both women and men.

Shaved is nice but I prefer nicely trimmed, landing strip anyone?! =]

Yeah, even all the asian girlfriends I had here in the US didn't shave down there either. I'd ask them to but they complain that its too much work and other asian women they see in the gym room lockers don't shave either. Personally I like trimming it down, obviously the lil bro looks bigger and better that way.

A lot of it has to do with the sexual practices in the Asian culture. It is as not common for Asian men to perform oral sex on the female. If it's a common practice, then all husbands or boyfriends would demand that their girlfriends shave or at least trim their hair, as there's nothing worse than eating a sweet smelling pussy only to die of suffocation as the nostrils become blocked by excess hair down there.

i do understand where you're coming from. however, do note that as society gets more connected and globalized, perceptions and habits get 'modified'. heck, even if you look at current JAVs and a JAV from the past decades ago, you'll see the evolution of sexual practices (new positions, new 'moves' etc). i even once used to think that oral sex was a disgusting thing when i was younger.
