#1 Post at 27-2-2011 14:52  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Birds Nest Soup Hello bros, I'll be visiting HK very soon, and I was talking to one of my aunts, and she mentioned that back in the day, HK is famous for their birds nest soup. I'm not sure if thats the case now or not. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried it, if you liked it, and how much did it go for? I'm not a big fan of the thing, but maybe its because the ones i've eaten havent been properly prepared.

#4 Post at 27-2-2011 15:07  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #3 twiceAweek's post no i have not mongered anywhere before. i'm in the usa, and dont have the balls (pun intended) to monger here, as it is illegal and sting operations are common. i first found this site before my first trip to hk, and intended to monger, but right when i got off the plane, became very ill. i did not get to do much my entire 2 week stay in hk last time. stayed in hotel and ordered the hotel food. bad timing and bad experience. really hope things will be better this time around. As for the red packet ... You need to tell her it's your first time and it's customary that she gives you a red packet with money inside as she took your cherry !

I'm trying to do everything I can to make sure I dont fall ill again this time around (FYI: I tend to easily get sick, ie catch a cold or flu, ever since a kid). Taking vitamins, getting enough sleep, working out, and taking more vitamins. Seems to be working, but I think the real test is surviving the 15hr flight.
