Well, ill bite. For computers you can go to Mong Kok Computer Centre, they also sell DSLRS there.

If you want standard retail stores, Fortress and Broadway are quite famous in HK for electronics. But I would personally go to MK computer centre or even Wan Chai computer centre.

Honestly the prices aren't much better for electronics than in America. If you buy from Amazon.com the prices are pretty much the same

Might be worth the extra $15 saved to not have the risk of damage during flight/travel

Those ones in MK and wan chai are good. Alternative is the one in Sham Shui Po, on Apliu St I believe.

Of course, the most reliable stores are the bigger chains like Fortress but may not be the cheapest - although most times they will chuck in a load of free stuff. Just ask.

Best place I have found to buy electronic goods these days are the duty free stores at the airport in whatever country you're from.
Example, in the UK, vat is now 20% which means at the nice dixons/currys at heathrow, everything is 20% cheaper than thehighstreet.
Case in point, I was looking at the (old) Panasoninic Lumix GF1+20mm f1.4 last month listed at £360 at Heathrow and no where in HK could go anywhere to matching that.
