Not something I have to worry about. But, with recent rumblings about laptop checks at immigration, I'm wondering if privacy mode will eliminate any porn on my PC for the purposes of an immigration check? Probably won't matter, cos I usuially travel with plenty of my own, home-made porn anyway...

Correct.  I have friends over and it's not uncommon for them to use my pc to look up last minute details or print off items because they don't have a printer.  With chrome incognito, unless you know what site you need to go to, there is no chance of them accidently stumbling across 141, or my porn torrent sites.   Really useful when younger family members use your computer or your friends are female and think that you are "too decent for porn or punting"
