- What you do is Copy the address in the browser of whatever page you want to link,
- paste that address on your post, hit edit and when your message comes back on, the link re-appears and show it being preceeded by .
- delete the ] and instead replace it with =
- at the end of the link, you will see
just before this , put in a ] and write your word or sentence you want to appear INSTEAD of the hyperlink
- Hit edit and Presto, your words will appear instead of the hyperlink, but anybody clicking on it will be directed to the page you've hyper-linked.
Example - and I will use ( instead of [ so that the example will appear:
(url=http://forum.sex141.com/eforum/viewthread.php?tid=26766&extra=&page=1]This will take you to the 1st page of this thread
Another method is just to write the following when first posting without having to go to edit etc -
(url=paste on the address]write your words or message
These new fangled things!
umm.. actually there's another way.. no need to mess with the tags/html
1) just click on WYSIWYG.
2) then
highlight the text you want to hyperlink.
3) next click on the Link icon
4) paste the hyperlink in.
click ok. done.
