In the today's (16 April 2011) South China Morning Post, the 3D Sex & Zen ($2.7 mil) took in more money on its 1st day viewing than 3D Avatar (HK$2.5 mil) on its 1st day viewing. Over 30,000 ppl saw the movie.
Plus because there were so many requests from women viewers who wanted to see the movie but not be surrounded by men, two sold-out "Ladies Only" screenings were held at Times Square and Langham Place. Additional "Ladies Only" screenings will be held over the Easter holiday. I wonder if any of the ushers for these "Ladies Only" screenings are men.
It would have been fascinating to watch (or hear) what a full theatre of women would do (or say) during the movie.
Who knows maybe these ushers got propositions right after the movie ended.
I can imagine all the walkups around Langham Place, Mongkok to be very busy for the next few weeks as the horny guys walk out of the cinema after watching the flick.
