I was thinking of trying out a cracker ad over the coming weeks, having never done so in HK. My experiences in NY and a couple other places have been good - the girl was 90% of what her ad made her seem, just slightly less perk tits and maybe some extra cushion that had been photoshopped away.

So I did my usual thing - opened about 20 ads, saved a pic, went to reverse image search. Lo and behold, every single one came back as a famous instagram model or the like. Then I tried 10 more - ditto. I literally only got one exception to that rule (advertises herself as a German lady).

What's the deal? Anyone have a theory? In the US and Canada, the fake backpage ad hit rate was closer to 50%, and almost all of those were the obviously fake Japanese AV girl ads. What about the HK (or East Asian?) market makes it more profitable to fake these things than it is in the West? What makes the markets different?

I clearly have too much free time.

I decided to run a check on the various sites that show up if you search 'hong kong escort' on google. All fake. Not one pic checked was real. At least 3 had Maria Ozawa on their site!

Try the ones without proper photos, like crappy phone photos. Of course they're 95% fakes, look at the 141 page they're all photoshopped like hell or pixelated IG photos. And those with phone photos are mostly Philippine girls claiming to be Spanish mux, which we all know it's a lie

It’s just such an odd market failure. I would pay extra for reliably accurate pics that aren’t so photoshopped they may as well be cgi. Why is no one willing to accept my extra money for that??? Do they hate making money that much?

Abroad, my experience has been that you can get accuracy and straight-forwardness with higher end ladies. I’ve been trying for half a year and Just can’t figure out what the equivalent is in HK. I cannot believe there is none. HK is wealthier than most places - the rich are playing somewhere, and it ain’t 800HKD bbbjs from okay looking 32 year old mainlanders.

Maybe. Markets do have failures. My point is that there’s an underserved subsection.

141s are not really expected to look as advertised, the ads are just to get footfalls in the building, once there everyone goes window shopping (unless you are repeating or after one of famous SPs).

The higher end escorts / freelancers market there is a serious lack of feedback to weed out the crappy providers from the gems. That combined with ppl thinking with their pricks once they see the girl makes the fake pics work.

Is there a market opportunity for a high end escort agency with reliable pics? yes, but I think such an agency would be illegal in HK.

The Photochopping on some of these ads is ridiculous. I'm not going to get into the 141 PSing--it varies, and realize that some of these providers work here for years, sometimes in the same flats. It's a business that provides income not only for the WG, but the landlord and ancillary services (towel-delivery services, condom manufacturers, whatever). WGs will have slightly altered pics of themselves, perhaps taken years ago...you're not going to get exactly what you see. Sometimes you'll get some absurd ones that resemble large-eyed plastic creatures.

But with BackPage/cracker, you get photos blatantly stolen from other sources--do a reverse-image-search (use TinEye, Google already has enough of your personal data, don't you think?). That supercute girl in the ad is someone on Instagram or a similar site. Of course she's not gonna come to your hotel room and fuck you. There are some (probably) actual techs on cracker: they'll wear masks or pixelate their faces or not show them, they look like actual women, and they will post their prices. I don't know what to make of a Filipina who thinks she rates HK$3,000 for an hour session "plus taxi fare."

The Macau version is more interesting as it's a smaller market, and some WGs will offer to do a video call with you, which is nice. I've never tried this, but were I to make a video call of this nature, I'd wear some sort of partial face-mask, and I guess I'd expect the lady to do the same. But it'd be a way to establish rapport and some ground rules.

Some providers also have websites, and post their schedules. There are WGs who travel the region seeking work. Needless to say, unless you're an investment banker, the prices are a bit...you ordered the tenderloin/lobster with the truffle dressing, sir, is there a problem?

I'm not interested in this particular form of advertising, but I do see WGs advertising themselves as Japanese. As you can now visit agencies in Tokyo that are gaijin-friendly, it makes sense that enterprising Japanese women who can speak English and aren't gaijin-unfriendly would make arrangements to visit other Asian cities if the clients are willing to pay. But i speak enough Japanese to tell if someone's conversant or not (the kicker: any Korean can learn Japanese quickly as the languages have many similarities, not that I'd be uninterested in a Korean provider, I just want to know where she's from, why suffer needless artifice?). So a video call would be interesting...if I were interested in the service. I doubt there are many Japanese WGs on cracker.

Just some thoughts. I would be more interested in the service if there were actual pix and offers of video calls. I think Hong Kong cracker is pretty useless, the Macau version perhaps more useful, but I don't go to Macau and get a pricey hotel room hoping some gal on a "hooker booker" site is real. Whether she is or not, the cash I shred WILL be real.

I'm guessing Thai. IMO a Japanese woman wouldn't declare herself "Japanese only" nor would she list English first, then write "my spoken Japanese is excellent" in Japanese. These are assumed and not stipulated...if she's Japanese.

However, I've met Thai women who've studied Japanese and are essentially fluent.
